We're up all night to get lucky

Black Tube Dress - American Apparel // Yellow Neon Kimono - H&M // Flower Crown  - Primark // Heels - Primark // Sunglasses - Primark

Hey dolls,

I wasn't going to put up this post due to the lack of quality of my photos, so sorry about that in advance! However, I quite liked this outfit regardless of the bad photography so I thought it would be a shame not to share.

I wore this outfit when I went to Parklife for my birthday (minus the kimono and heels!) and it's become a summer fave as I have since wore it again when I was away on holiday. I saw this beaut kimono in H&M and I knew I had to have it. I have been after a nice kimono for ages and particularly love the burnt out style kimono's that have been knocking around recently. I figure this is a little more on the brighter side 8) but I think this is perfect for holidays and looks lush with bit of tan ;). It is a bit of a daring colour but I think with a plain black dress or another plain outfit underneath, the pop of neon really makes the outfit. If you haven't been in H&M recently, they have lots of nice bits in, I literally had to stop myself buying half the shop!

I find Primark a bit hit and miss but recently I have picked up a few lush pieces that were super cheap such as the rose crown and the Zara copy heels. Why pay more when you can pay less eh? I have worn both of these items quite a few times now and both of them probably came to less than £15 - Baaaaargain. My friend also very kindly gave me this American Apparel dress which I love! I'd be stupid to turn down a free LBD right? Staple wardrobe item alert!

Has anyone been in the sales yet? I ventured into Zara at the weekend and it was absolute bedlam! I think a week night visit is much needed as I couldn't be bothered fighting through the crowds! If you follow me on Instagram (ashleighgxoxo) you might have seen I picked up my white mini shopper bag that I have wanted for ages so this put a smile on my face!

Hope everyone is having a good day!
Have you been in the sales yet?

Phresh off the Runway

My Outfit // Top - Primark // Chain - Ebay // Pants - Glamorous* // Shoes - Primark // Shades - Primark

Hey Dolls,

Hope everyone is having a good week! Mine has been pretty busy, but I sort of like it when I have loads to do! Yesterday my wardrobe pole snapped in half due to the vast amount of clothes I have hanging off it 8), oops. So naturally my room is an absolute tip full of clothes everywhere - brilliant. Fortunately this week I was sent a very beautifully wrapped package from Glamorous that made it all seem better, ha!

Glamorous very kindly sent me these super lush grey marl jogging pants that I have been eyeing up for a while. If you saw my post from the Glamorous event, you may have noticed me post the Rihanna picture above on that post as well. I literally fell in love with the outfit when I saw it posted on Glamorous' Facebook. I love Rihanna's style and I think she always looks gorgeous in whatever she wears <3 I already had the other parts of this outfit so I was super excited when these arrived, meaning I could re-create the look myself! Yay. You can get the grey marl jogging pants HERE for £24 AND they have 20% off this bank holiday weekend so go and make the most of it! You can also get the rest of the outfit on their website as pictured above :)

Glamorous have LOADS of gorgeous pieces at the moment and it makes me want to go on holiday so bad! The neon leotards that are new in simply scream 'IBIZA!!' to me, so if you are heading there this Summer, you should definitely have a look! I can't wait to wear mine and I'm not even going Ibiza!

I threw on my gold chain as well, as I can't get enough of it at the moment for some reason! I also found these sunnies in Primark last night when I went in for a hair brush and did the standard primark trick - go in for one thing, come out with ten. Deary me. I have been loving the round style that seems to be bang on trend recently, but I've always been a bit dubious about it all thinking I am going to look like a bad replica of John Lennon. However, I was very much enjoying this black pair, and at a £1 it's not the end of the world if I never wear them again. Oh, the joys of Primark prices.

Do you shop at Glamorous? Do you love Rihanna's look?

STYLEetc Glamorous Girls Night Out Party

Hey Dolls,

So last week I was lucky enough to attend the 'STYLEetc Glamorous Girls Night Out Party' event which was amazing. It was such a lovely well planned night at one of my favourite venues - Sakura on Deansgate Locks. When I arrived I got a wristband as we were able to stay afterwards to one of my fave nights out in Manchester - Eivissa (yay!) and then headed downstairs to the VIP bar and downstairs bar/dance area.

The downstairs had been transformed into a showroom for previews of the current S/S range (which is gorgeous) and a sneak preview of the up and coming A/W range (equally amaze!). I couldn't wait to get stuck into the ranges and see what I would be adding to my never ending wish list! I grabbed myself a glass of champers from the VIP bar and was greeted by the lovely Leonie who was looking lush in a Glamorous playsuit! She took me through both collections and I instantly fell in love with so many items. There are some gorgeous jackets and coats for A/W- very Zara-esque but with a super reasonable price tag. I think my favourite piece had to be a PU top with contrasting sleeves, I love it.
I was also instantly drawn to the S/S collection with all the bright neon colours and patterns. Honestly, if you are going to Ibiza or some sort of festival this year, I suggest you check this lot out. My fave pieces are definitely the bright neon print leotards and the white tee's with neon detail down the sides, perfect for wearing with some slouchy pants and heels!

I then went to mingle in the VIP bar/lounge where I got to see my lovely fave Manchester bloggers - Lily, Charlotte and Laura. Glamorous had added a little celeb to their guest list and Tulisa, Chelsee Healey and Platnum were around the VIP area enjoying the event too! There was lots of gorgeous sushi platters being handed out by the lovely bar staff at Sakura which looked super yummy (I had already eaten so I didn't indulge!).Not only all of this there were also 3 make over bars where you could go to get your make-up, nails or hair done (or all of them!) which sums up the 'Girls Night Out' event name! I ended up getting my hair done by Sam and she did an AMAZING job! I love big bouncy hair and she did just that! I will certainly be going to the salon on Deansgate to the blow dry bar to get my hair done again ;).

By this time it was 10pm and even though I would have loved to stay on after the event and enjoy Eivissa I was super tired and had work in the morning so I decided to be sensible and head home. Believe me, I have done and Eivissa/Work the next day combo before and its not the best ha. I had such a lovely time though and left with a super amazing goody bag filled with treats and a jumper from Glamorous! How generous! You can also see a write up and pics from the event over at STYLEetc HERE.

Also I have added the Rihanna image at the bottom from the Glamorous Twitter/Facebook page - how lush is this outfit!? Think I need it! You can check out Glamorous HERE if you haven't already!

Please Note:The last two photos from the event are courtesy of I AM VIP and Sven Eselgroth :).

Do you love glamorous?

Think Like a Boss

 Blazer - The Kooples // Dress - Fashion Union* // Bag - H&M // Biker Boots - Zara

Hey dolls!

Hope all is well. I am back from Egypt and I have serious holiday blues :( :( :( I desperately need to get away again soon, I hate this weather.Since arriving back I have neglected any form of clothing that doesn't represent Summer as I feel that I need to show off my Egyptian tan, ha. So I have been strolling around in summer clothes regardless of how cold it is.

I recently was lucky enough to choose this super cute LBD off Fashion Union. This is a fab website I have recently discovered with lots of amazing Summer pieces to offer with the high street price tag. Perfect for girls like me on a budget! I love all the festival clothes that seem to have kicked off since the Coachella craze, which will be right up my street for when I go to various festivals this year - YAY. If you haven't already checked out Fashion Union, you can HERE.

I can't find this exact dress on the Fashion Union website, however they have a similar pinafore dress which I think will look super cute this summer. You can find it HERE, plus its only £20! Bargain or what.

I have also recently been wearing my new biker boots from Zara that my mum kindly got me when she last visited Manchester. I absolutely love them but I'm not going to lie, although they look pretty they are not the comfiest. My poor feet have took a bit of a battering with these - ouch, I hope they are properly worn in soon as I really want to wear them all the time!

Do you shop at Fashion Union? Have you got any holidays/festivals booked?

Pretty Little Thing Event

Hey Dolls!

Hope you have all had a good week and have a fun weekend planned! On Thursday night I went to an amazing event in Manchester at the beaut restaurant Rosso's to view the Spring/Summer 13 collection for the amazing brand Pretty Little Thing! I had such a good night and got to view lots of gorgeous pieces that I am already adding to the wish list!
When I arrived I (I was a little bit late) everyone was sat down about to have their meal, talk about good timing ha! I got a glass of champagne and was handed a delicious choice of menu for my meal... Mmm! The tables looked beauts and already had lots of 'nibbles' set out to get involved with! As you can see from the pictures my starter looked pretty yummy and I thought it was soo generous of the brand to treat us to a meal at the event. :) We even cracked open a bottle of rose and had shots of sambucca being handed out left right and centre (oh god). I somehow managed to swerve all shots thankfully haha!

As I had got there a bit later I was shown around the new Spring/Summer collection by the lovely Zelta and I'm not even joking, I literally fell in love with everything. I know you're thinking I am being biased as I am writing a post about the event but I didn't really see ANYTHING that I wouldn't wear. I loved all the trends on show and I think they are going to be absolute winners for the up and coming months - if the sun decides to make an appearance of course 8). I am loving the varsity/American trend at the minute and my favourite pieces were the 'A' jumper and the super cute frayed denim dungarees (see images). I instantly fell in love with the neon strap heels that are so reasonably priced and perfect for rocking the neon trend then putting them away till neon next hits our wardrobes again! I also fell in love with the circular shades that were super pretty and had decorated rims with 3D flowers or just a super chic thick rim in cream - very voguesque.

After lusting after all these amazing products we were given a goody bag filled with an item of our choice ( I chose a plain black bag covered in tassel's - I'm a tassel fiend) and then there were LOTS of free drinks to be drunk by the bar where we could all chat and socialise and get snapped by the big 'blogger' sign! Fun times. I got chance to catch up with blogging friends Charlotte from Lurchhound Loves , Charlotte from A Trend I Made Earlier , Lindsey from Ropes of Holland , Nafisah from Bamblings of Naffy , Grace from Grace's Wardrobe , Laura from Logans Runway and Irena from Irena D World - all of these lovely ladies have amazing blogs so have a look if you haven't already!

It was such a lovely night and I was so grateful for being able to attend as I thoroughly enjoyed the evening! Thank you so much to the PLT team *mwah*
