The Work Out Plan

Nike Sports Bra* - JD Sports// Nike Epic Tights* - JD Sports// Nike Free Run 5.0* - Millets

I'm back! I haven't blogged for soo long and I'm super excited to get back into the swing of things. I was very lucky to get a snazzy new camera for Christmas meaning I can take some good quality pictures and not get annoyed every time I used my old camera when things came out rubbish! I think most bloggers can agree that having a good quality camera does make a world of difference to your blogs appearance, it's just super pricey *sigh*

That aside, it's time to get back into a lot of of other things to...including the gym! When it comes to the gym, for me it's definitely a love/hate relationship. I love feeling fit and healthy after I've put in hard work at the gym, who doesn't? It's the slippery slope of the run up to Christmas that sets me off track, where I find myself swerving any sort of gym class/session because 1. It's too cold 2. I've just finished a stressful day at work and I'm tired 3. I just want to watch Elf and eat as much chocolate as I can. I don't totally hate my body by all means, but I am no where near in a shape I'd like to be at the moment and I need a tone up as I am going on holiday in less than a month (aghh)!

Helping me drag my lazy ass to the gym is always going to be a gym outfit that I am going to feel comfortable working out in. I like wearing black for the gym as its flattering and helps avoid any embarrassing sweat marks (eww). I was very lucky to receive some beaut gym wear from JD Sports and Millets that has definitely pushed me to go a few more times this week! All the gear, no idea springs to mind...

I love a a simple look for the gym and the Nike Sports Bra and Nike Leggings are perfect for a classic monochrome look. Both bra and leggings are constructed from a sweat-wicking, Dri-FIT fabric to help keep you dry and comfortable when you are putting in work! The leggings are also super handy, featuring a small zip fastening on the back for keys, money etc. and an inner cord to adjust the waist band to your preference. I would definitely wear a top over the bra for the gym but I wanted to be able to show you the bra in more detail in the images.

Personally I don't think you can go wrong with Nike when it comes to work out gear, which is why I also chose the well known Free Run 5.0 trainers to complete the look. In a classic black and white colourway, these trainers are my absolute favourites for the gym/running. They are SO comfy and make your feet feel like they are walking around in slippers - what's not to love?! They are perfect for those who want a lightweight and breathable shoe with maximum flexibility.

The Nike Sports Bra and Leggings can be found over on JD Sports and the Free Run 5.0's can be found over on the Millets website (I've linked all items under the images). I had never really looked on the Millets website before, but if you are after high quality work out gear for super affordable prices - you definitely need to check them out!

Hopefully I will keep up the hard work at the gym running up to my Thailand travels and feel at least a little bit healthier by the time I take to the beach!
Is anyone else on a work out plan?

Bralet & Pants - Miss Guided // Shoes - Zara // Bodychain - eBay // Bindi - Duty Free Shop // Rings - Topshop

Hey  dolls,

So I thought I would share with you an outfit that I bought from Miss Guided not so long ago to wear for my birthday. I have an obsession with the Miss Guided bralets at the moment as I think they are perf for holidays and festivals - especially when it's super hot! I love them teamed with something high waisted like some cute denim levis' or some high waist flares. I bought this bralet in white and black as I figured these would go with most outfits. However, there are loads of gorgeous pastel colours to choose from too.

I bought the pants as I wanted to go for a nude look to match my beloved Zara heels! I love how comfy these pants are and they look lovely with. a little crop top. You can get the bralet HERE and Unfortunately I couldn’t find the pants that I am wearing, but I have found a really similar pair that are just as nice HERE. Not to mention that Miss Guided have an amazing 50% sale on at the moment that you have to check out - so many bargains!

Have you checked out the Miss Guided Sale yet?

Mini Boho Haul

All- Primark

Hey dolls,
So as summer approaches, I always find myself getting a little too excited and keen for topping up my summer wardrobe. Although my summer wardrobe is always full to the brim, I constantly need more and I am so bad for throwing things away (totally ruthless - I hoard nothing!) which then gives me some sort of mental acceptance in my head that it is now okay to buy even more outfits. Confessions of a shopaholic, I am. So I had a little browse in Primark the other day and fell in love with a few holiday essentials, that I obviously needed ;) . As soon as I see a bit of sunshine I feel the need to transform into everything bohemian which is exactly what happened to me on this day. However, I did get all of this for just £35 which is a bargain if I ever saw one.

I originally went in for a statement necklace (they have so many gorgeous ones in at the moment) and then ended up getting greedy and walking round the shop with various items hanging off me. I then picked up some aviators and standard gold hoops which were only £2 each. I then ventured upstairs to the shoe section and low and behold fell in love with these tan gladiator sandals - perfect for holidays! I then spotted this gorgeous printed bag just sat by itself, staring longingly at me so I had to get it, right?! I will be using this for all things travel and it will be ideal for carting all the crap I carry around with me! At just £8, how could I resist! So if you are looking for some holiday accessories, I would go and have a look as there is quite a few cute bits in!

Have you bought anything here recently?

Spring Wishlist

Hey Dolls,

Happy Sunday :) ! I'm having such a lazy weekend and it is much needed - I'm constantly tired all the time...Zzzz. I have put myself on a shopping ban at the moment *WAHHHH* so I have been trying to be really good with my money so I can plan lots of fun things this Summer. However, being the shopaholic that I am, I obviously want to buy everything more than ever and I have been creating a mental note of everything I am lusting over at the moment.

I am especially loving new pretty Spring pieces from Miss Guided, Pretty Little Thing & River Island, which is what my wish list above is made up of. I definitely feel more comfortable dressing for Spring/Summer than winter, hello pastels! I am obsessing over the River Island bikini collection at the moment too - I can't wait to get my hands on some of the new printed ones - they are TOO pretty. Every time I walk in that store, I feel like a fat kid in a sweet shop - they are so bang on with everything, from the bikinis to the shoes to the jewellery - I want it all!

I know that Winter is over but it's still pretty cold at the minute so I think this nude pink faux fur jacket is perfect for right now with it being on trend colour wise but still cosy! I have the same one in black and I have wore it loads since I got it last Christmas time.

Where have you been shopping lately? My money is burning a hole in my pocket!

Rawr

Dress - River Island // Heels - River Island // Hoops & Rings - Topshop & H&M

Hey dolls,

Just thought I would share the River Island love seeing as they have so many gorgeous things in at the moment! I was recently looking through their Spring Edit on line and fell in love with this ah-maze printed t-shirt dress. I love the geometric/tiger print on this dress and I think it fits right in for Summer - I would definitely wear this on holiday!I am never really drawn to blues as I don't think it really suits me but I must say this has to be an exception!

I recently threw out loads of clothes (again....after clearing out just a month before) as I was moving into another new flat (I swear I could probably class myself as a gypsy the amount of times I move flats!) and to my despair when moving in the wardrobe in my new room is TINY!! My worst nightmare pretty much. So despite throwing out and giving away all the things I don't get enough wear out of I still manage to replace everything by buying loads more - I am actually insane and in need of some sort of shopping restrain. I'm thinking next month I'm going to go on a shopping ban and see how much I actually save, god loves a trier!

I am still gushing over my River Island Sale buy shoes too, they are too beaut and I can't believe I managed to get hold of them after about 2-3 weeks after the sale had launched! Surely these should have been long gone?! I'm not complaining anyway!

Hope everyone has had a lush weekend :)

Suede & Tassels

Dress - Koo-Ture // Wedges - Manchester Boutique

Hey dolls,

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend! Apart from working on a mad busy night due to the boxing being held in Manchester, it was a pretty chilled one which is just what I like when I've been ill and busy at work! I also had a cheeky splurge in Topshop yesterday and got myself a Kim K inspired outfit that I cannot wait to wear on my next night out!

Whilst being super busy I did manage to pick up this pocohontas-esque dress which is a new brand to be part of Koo-Ture from Poland. I really can't make my mind up on when or where to wear it too but it's pretty cute all the same. I figured I'd probably wear it as a top for through the day and then a dress on a night out. I espesh love the tassel sleeves and it's an amazing quality, however I cant work out if this is more of a summer outfit or if I could get away with it for a wintery night out...hmm?If all else fails I'm going as Pocahontas to the next fancy dress party I'm going to, ha!

I'm off to see the new Hunger Games film tonight and I am too excited, major girl crush time over Katniss! Has anyone else seen it yet?

Have you shopped at Koo-Ture before?

#Ririlovesmac

Hey dolls,

I haven't done a beauty post in a while but I was so excited about the new RiRi Loves MAC collection, I felt I should do a little post on my new beauties! To be honest I definitely bought the products due to the celebrity endorsement - I am easily sucked in. However I fell in love with the packaging and decided I needed a new mascara, red lippie and bronzer/blusher anyway. I have used all three of my products a few times now so here are my thoughts so far...

RiRi Loves MAC Powder Blush Duo - Hibiscus Kiss

"Rihanna's Powder Blush Duo in Hibiscus Kiss combines two shades of M·A·C's celebrated colour for cheeks and face. Cool coral complements a neutral matte bronze in one gorgeous package." - M.A.C

This was the one product that I 100% wanted from the RiRi Loves Mac range as my favourite pink bronzer and blusher have both run out, so it made sense to try out this duo. I love a pink blusher as I feel it complements dark hair and looks lovely when you have a tan if applied lightly. I have to say the pink blusher is very pigmented so you don't have to use a lot and I think it looks lovely on. The bronzer is also a lush shade but as I am a bit of a tan addict, it doesn't show up very well on my skin. As you can see in my swatch (it's the one on the left) it's quite hard to see - it does give a nice glow though and works well as a powder to brush over my face.

RiRi Loves MAC Lipstick - RiRi Woo

"Part of the four limited-edition shades created by Rihanna. In Retro Matte - the signature red of RiRi Woo" - M.A.C

Originally I was after the 'nude' lipstick from this collection, however I was out of luck when I hit Selfridges and it had already sold out - boo :( despite this, the gold packaging was too pretty so I couldn't leave without getting one! The dark purple  and burnt orange shades aren't really me so I opted for the red matte shade 'RiRi Woo'. I only own one other red lipstick in red (Russian Red) so it's nice to try others. I know a lot of bloggers love Ruby Woo, which I can only imagine is pretty much the same, so I grabbed this one as well. If you love a matte lip this is for you! I find this lipstick more drying than my fave matte lippy (please me) so I think I will have to put a slick of gloss or balm on for a bit of extra lip hydration! It's super pigmented though and I can't wait to wear this over Chrismas!

RiRi Loves MAC - Extended Play Gigablack Lash

"A lightweight curling, lifting mascara in an intense carbon black pigment. Applies with a petite gripper brush embedded with micro-spheres to give each lash effortless, upward bending definition and extreme volume. Easy wash-off formula. Smudge-free. Lasts 16 hours." - M.A.C

I have got to say, I love this mascara. It's so easy and quick to apply and I see an instant difference in my lashes. I already wear the Eyelure individual lashes everyday so I just apply a tiny bit to the ends of them for extra definition. However, when I use this on my bottom lashes, they are instantly separated with one application and as the brush is quite thin, it makes applying this to the lower lashes super easy. I used to love big, thick mascara brushes but I have recently found after using the Bobby Brown mascara that the thinner brushes seem to be more effective on my lashes. If this mascara works so well on my lower lashes, I can imagine it works wonders for the top lashes! I would definitely re-purchase this again.

You can get the RiRi Loves MAC collection from Selfridges, House of Fraser & Debhanams and if course MAC stores & online!

Have you tried any of the RiRi Loves MAC range?

FU Wishlist

Hey dolls,

Well, as if I didn't love Fashion Union enough already, they are running a 'wishlist' competition right now to win £500 of FU vouchers!! Wowza. I obviously couldn't miss out on something as good as that! So, as you can see I have made a compilation of all my current 'wants' off the Fashion Union website! I have to say it was very hard to narrow it down as if you haven't already checked out their ''new arrivals' page, there is LOADS of gorgeous stuff to kick start  the Autumn/Winter season!

I seem to have been drawn to everything black, white and red - I didn't even plan that I swear! I was picking out my faves and when I looked at them all together I was like hmm, guess what colours you're wearing this year Ashleigh. I am loving everything leather and minimal at the moment and I also STILL don't have a kimono even though I have wanted one for time! So if I was to win this would be first on the list along with the gorgeous LBD I spotted that looks super flattering and sophisticated.

You can also enter the comp HERE and you have until Monday 30th September 5 pm to enter. Also don't forget to take advantage of the FREE delivery this month over at Fashion Union!!

Rings & Tings

Jewellery - Rings & Tings*

Hey dolls,

Hope everyone had a good weekend! I was working all weekend so I decided to treat myself yesterday to a big fat roast dinner and have a proper slob on Sunday night, it was definitely ideal. Apart from that I have been green-eyeing all of my instagram and twitter feed seeing everyone's London Fashion Week photos and crying into my laptop watching some of the shows - Loving the Burberry & Topshop Unique shows in particular!! Too gorgeous.

Any way, I just wanted to introduce you (if you haven't heard of them already of course!) 'Rings & Tings' a new super cute brand that was created by two creative students studying in London (Joys & Yiunam). They started off as a petite boutique stall in Brick  Lane market selling their 'Rings & Tings' in East London. Since then they have now gave us lucky fashion lovers their very own website selling lots of cute and unique pieces of jewellery, watches, clothes, bags AND shoes! I have particularly fallen in love with some of the bags that look pretty much designer!

I was lucky enough to try out some of the jewellery from 'Rings & Tings' and I absolutely love all of them! I'm pretty versatile in my choices when it comes to jewellery  - I love big chunky jewellery but I also love the delicate stuff too. Jewellery can really transform your outfit and I feel incomplete when I'm getting ready and don't have at least two pieces of jewellery on. My favourite piece is probably the gold necklace, which I unfortunately can't find on the site at the moment. They do have very similar styles though and plenty of different options to choose from. I love these necklaces as I find they are great to wear by themselves but also look cute for layering up with as well. Everything is really affordable and I'm already thinking how some of these would be great stocking fillers for Christmas (too soon?) ha. I urge you to check out this website as there really is lots of very cute affordable bits that I am sure you will love!

Have you visited 'Rings & Tings' before?

eBay Wishlist #2

Hey dolls,
Why is it whenever you are at your poorest you want/need everything you lay your eyes on? No doubt about it that this is just everyday life for me for richer or for poorer but after oggling over New York Fashion Week and getting constant emails off certain fashion websites for new A/W stock - I can only say that this has fuelled my shopping addiction even more. I've become obsessed with all things minimal and leather and have already started jotting down everything I want in the build up for winter! I find my winter wardrobe always a little boring and eagerly await the summer months but I'm strangely more excited for this year for some reason.

I am also VERY jealous of all you lot heading to London Fashion Week, I would love to be there *sobs* maybe next year eh! Anyway more to the point.... Here is my 2nd eBay list with a couple of bargains you may want to snap up! Of course there is some leather in there, an A/W floral print kimono and some gold accessories - everything I love!

Hope you like!

 Top - eBay // Skirt - Ark // Boots - H&M

Hey dolls,

Hope everyone is having a good week, I've been super busy with work and I've been doing a cross fit programme at the gym which is hardcore! Trying to get on a health ting and all that.... Zzzz.

A few weeks ago I was reading some of my fave blogs and fell in love with Charlotte from Lurchhound Loves outfit post and decided I had to have it! I love this 'homies' crop top and the grungy cheerleader-esque vibe she put together and to put it bluntly, I wanted it too (who didn't want to be a high school American cheerleader all their life). I noticed she got hers from Fashion Union but it was out of stock so I had a little look on eBay (shock) and found it from another supplier. I obviously snapped this up quick as yet again its another eBay bargain and you can find this top HERE. I teamed it up with the black PU skirt and my new beloved cut out H&M boots that seem to be making an appearance on EVERY post I do at the moment - a sorry, not sorry moment.

So now I feel like my childhood cheerleader dream has come true - in the form of a 23 year old. Jheez. I'm planning on wearing this to London next week when I go and see Fabolous and visit The Making of Harry Potter Studios - TOO exciting. I won tickets for Fabolous via Wireless festival and I am very excited! Probably even more excited to run about the Harry Potter Studios like a fat kid in a sweet shop (literally). I love having something to look forward to and London is always a treat to visit even though it sometimes overwhelms me....poor little Northern girl.

Do you like the Cheerleader look?
