Miss Guided A/W Picks

Hey dolls,
So I've been a bit AWOL recently due to not having a camera to snap my outfits on - I tried my phone but when I upload the quality is rubbish :( so hopefully I will be able to get one soon and get back on top of things.

Seeing as all the A/W collections have been appearing in my inbox I thought I would put together some of my favourite pieces from the new Miss Guided collection that I have been lusting over. Miss Guided seem to always tick all my boxes and I'm forever excited to see what they come up with when a new season approaches. I'm definitely a summer lover, but I can't wait to get myself some furry pieces for my A/W wardrobe! I have been going through my wardrobe recently and I just want to completely re-vamp everything and start a whole new winter wardrobe- but who doesn't!?

I am definitely for the boho look, whether it be summer or winter so I am all about the rustic floral prints and nude furs making the Effie Maxi Dress and the Jenifer Fur Gilet must haves for autumn! Teamed with some statement gold jewellery like the Blanche Pendant Necklace - I love this look!

I also enjoy wearing different styles and sometimes I just want a grungy day where it's all about the black. I am obsessed with mom jeans at the moment - a bit late on the band wagon but hey... so these
Drew Ripped Mom Jeans are perfect for winter.  My wardrobe is never complete without an oversized t-shirt, and even more when it has our fave supermodels on too - Jourdan Supermodel Boyfriend Tee ! I think a minimal outfit like this looks even better with a statement piece of jewellery and I am loving the Diane Pendant Choker, very gothic-esque.

Last but not least, my picks wouldn't be complete without a bit of nude and pastel thrown in for good measure. I think pastels are definitely one of my favourite trends/colour palette's whatever the weather. I am also a massive sucker for a two piece and love the baby blue combo of the Casey Crop Top and  Madelynn Pencil Skirt - great for dressing up or down. I also picked the Bea Double Chain Skirt as I think this could be a good staple item for winter that will go with everything, plus the gold chain detailing is super cute! If you're a Kardashian fan, I'm sure you will have noticed the Kylie Jenner dungaree that was going around a while ago when she was photographed in Miami in a gorgeous tailored beige pair. I did notice a few similar floating around but they looked pretty crappy material. However, I think the Miss Guided Katayun Tailored Dungarees look really good quality so I might have to give them a whirl!

Are you lovin' the Miss Guided new A/W collections?

Love it like XO

Dress - Zara // Hoops - Topshop

Hey dolls,

Just a quick one, but I wanted to share with you this beaaaautiful dress I picked up from Zara before my holidays. I totally wasn't meant to be buying anything and talked myself out of it about 5 times, but it was just to pretty to leave behind!

I am a sucker for a white/cream dress and when I saw this in the Manchester store I grabbed my size and took it to the changing rooms where the love affair began ;). They also have it in black which is super nice as well - but I thought white would look nice with a tan and tan accessories.

I wore this on holiday with a tan belt and gladiators but completely forgot to take picture (I'm so rubbish at taking holiday pics) but as the dress is so simple, its really easy to dress up with a statement gold/silver necklace or keep it minimal with some gold hoops like I have. I love the back strap detail and the boho-esque look for holidays so if you are looking for a pretty maxi dress, this one is perf! The only issue I had was that I cant wear a bra with it and its a little see-though (eeep!) but there is so many bra/boob diy kits now I had come fully prepared!

Have you been holiday shopping in Zara? It's all too nice!

Soul Junkie

Two Piece - Soul Junkie // Gladiators - Primark // Hoops - Topshop

Hey dolls!

So I've just got back from an amazing holiday in Portugal and I've definitely got a bad case of the holiday blues! I'm already trying to find another one! It was so nice to just chill out for a week and not have to think about work or all the other sh!t you have to deal with every day. I also went to a wedding whilst I was there which was beautiful - perfect weather and setting at the Hilton hotel in Vilamoura - I would have been made up if it was mine! I obviously bought loads to wear before I went and as usual, never got chance to wear everything :(

I didn't get chance to wear this gorgeous two piece whilst I was away but it is definitely a perfect holiday outfit and would look amazing in Ibiza or the Caribbean - well anywhere hot to be honest! I found Soul Junkie through bloggers and social media and I fell in love with all of Vanessa's (creator & designer) stunning, one of a kind designs. It's the perfect mix of gypsy meets bohemian which is right up my street. I love the fact that there is only a few of each design available making your piece extra special at an affordable price. There is nothing worse than heading on holiday and everyone's wearing the same Topshop dress, right?!

Vanessa creates a range of two pieces and kimono/cover ups, which are equally as gorgeous. I have definitely jumped on the co-ord craze so my first purchase was obviously one of these. There is also now a 'Boho Baby' section available which is just TOO CUTE!!
I have my eye on so many others so I better get on to my favourite's quick before they all get snapped up! The one I am wearing is called 'Night Becomes Day' and there are still some available. You can get one of these HERE for £35.00 - bargain.

Have you bought a Soul Junkie piece before?

Mini Boho Haul

All- Primark

Hey dolls,
So as summer approaches, I always find myself getting a little too excited and keen for topping up my summer wardrobe. Although my summer wardrobe is always full to the brim, I constantly need more and I am so bad for throwing things away (totally ruthless - I hoard nothing!) which then gives me some sort of mental acceptance in my head that it is now okay to buy even more outfits. Confessions of a shopaholic, I am. So I had a little browse in Primark the other day and fell in love with a few holiday essentials, that I obviously needed ;) . As soon as I see a bit of sunshine I feel the need to transform into everything bohemian which is exactly what happened to me on this day. However, I did get all of this for just £35 which is a bargain if I ever saw one.

I originally went in for a statement necklace (they have so many gorgeous ones in at the moment) and then ended up getting greedy and walking round the shop with various items hanging off me. I then picked up some aviators and standard gold hoops which were only £2 each. I then ventured upstairs to the shoe section and low and behold fell in love with these tan gladiator sandals - perfect for holidays! I then spotted this gorgeous printed bag just sat by itself, staring longingly at me so I had to get it, right?! I will be using this for all things travel and it will be ideal for carting all the crap I carry around with me! At just £8, how could I resist! So if you are looking for some holiday accessories, I would go and have a look as there is quite a few cute bits in!

Have you bought anything here recently?

Célfie

  Jumper - Ark Clothing // Jeans - Primark // Nike Airforce 1 - Footlocker

Hey dolls,

Hope everyone has had a good weekend! I am a proper sucker for a slogan t-shirt or jumper so when I saw this one in Ark last week, I decided I needed it! You can never have too many jumpers, especially when it's not really that warm yet. I love the baby pink colour teamed with denim and I am slowly filling my wardrobe up with pastel colours for spring/summer, so this is another addition to my ever growing collection! I bought this in store, when really I should have checked on line as Ark currently have 20% off all sweats so you can bag this with an extra discount if you buy on line.

I got the jeans a little while ago from Primark when I was having a mooch after work one night. I love the skinny high waisted jeans and I thought that these could easily pass off as a pair of Topshop jeans! I think these were around the £13 mark - bargain! I also dusted off my old faithful Nike Airforce 1's so I can walk down the street and blind everyone with how bright they are. They are my ultimate faves!

Do you love slogan tops?

Floridians

Top - Topshop // Leggings - H&M // Jordan5's - Footlocker

Hey dolls,

I just thought I would post my weekend day time outfit - it was a casual one as I was feeling a little worse for wear on the Sunday after a night out in Manchester! I really need to stop drinking so much wine, I am an absolute fiend. At the moment I can't stop wearing the old leggings and crop top combo, I mean, it's probably far too cold for this attire yet but I find it so comfortable to just chill in. I have been trying to put myself on a spending ban, however I have been needing some sort of bottom halves for work so H&M has been a complete saviour when it comes to leggings that I can just throw on in the morning.

I have bought 4 pairs of late as I find them so easy to wear and so much more comfortable than a pair of jeans. They have loads of cute patterned ones in H&M at the moment for £12.99, which is ideal - along with the fact they are good quality and not going thread bare across your bum which is a nightmare when it comes to cheap leggings, not to mention highly embarrassing. I also picked up a Glamour magazine the other day which had a little 25% off voucher waiting for me inside for H&M so that made everything even cheaper and I didn't feel half as bad for breaking my ban, ha! I will never learn.

I also thought I would wear one of my favourite pair of trainers I have, as I haven't worn them half as much as I should do and they still look brand new! I LOVE my Jordan 5 Floridians and I think they go with these leggings pretty well :).

Hope everyone has a good week!

Jasmine

Top - Topshop // Skirt - Zara // Bracelets - Fossil & Tiffany // Head Jewel - Duty Free Shop

Hey dolls,

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend! I have been learning how to cook, which is always good as I'm sick of eating the same meals every day - kinda boring! Especially when you are trying to be healthy...variety is definitely the key for me otherwise I will slip back to my naughty foods! I also went to my first meeting for new on line magazine, FIBRE magazine, which is super exciting for me! I am a fashion & lifestyle writer for this super chic new magazine and I am very excited about it all - lots of good things to come! If you fancy having a browse you can do HERE

Besides probably being the only one drunk at the meeting and then trying to cure a heavy head on the Saturday, I haven't done much else. I have put myself on a strict 'no buying clothes' ban and it's the worst thing EVER. There is just no way I can save if I don't though, so hopefully it will pay off (literally). I got really worried I would have nothing to blog about but I opened my wardrobe and discovered a couple of newish things I haven't blogged about yet, so it's all good. I also want to give you guys my thoughts on my DTY Looks extension quad too, so I will be writing up a review this week :).

I absolutely love this Zara skirt that I bought in the sale, it's so ideal for summer and I cant wait to team this with some crop tops on holiday! I think they have it in other colours too AND for less than £7 at the moment, I might have to break the ban and grab a few more!

Have you started your summer shopping yet? I can't wait to start buying bikinis!

Spring Wishlist

Hey Dolls,

Happy Sunday :) ! I'm having such a lazy weekend and it is much needed - I'm constantly tired all the time...Zzzz. I have put myself on a shopping ban at the moment *WAHHHH* so I have been trying to be really good with my money so I can plan lots of fun things this Summer. However, being the shopaholic that I am, I obviously want to buy everything more than ever and I have been creating a mental note of everything I am lusting over at the moment.

I am especially loving new pretty Spring pieces from Miss Guided, Pretty Little Thing & River Island, which is what my wish list above is made up of. I definitely feel more comfortable dressing for Spring/Summer than winter, hello pastels! I am obsessing over the River Island bikini collection at the moment too - I can't wait to get my hands on some of the new printed ones - they are TOO pretty. Every time I walk in that store, I feel like a fat kid in a sweet shop - they are so bang on with everything, from the bikinis to the shoes to the jewellery - I want it all!

I know that Winter is over but it's still pretty cold at the minute so I think this nude pink faux fur jacket is perfect for right now with it being on trend colour wise but still cosy! I have the same one in black and I have wore it loads since I got it last Christmas time.

Where have you been shopping lately? My money is burning a hole in my pocket!

Drunk in Love

 Dress - PrettyLittleThing // Heels - River Island // Hoops - Topshop

Hey Dolls,

I picked this dress up from work the other day, which is now unfortunately out of stock but you can buy this from Pretty Little Thing for £18, which is a bargain for such a nice LBD. I have been after a black dress for a while now and fell in love with this one. It's perfect for day to night wear and I love the subtle cut out back feature.

I ended up wearing this for a recent flat warming at my new flat but I had a bit too much to drink (oops) so pictures were limited and I decided to re-shoot the dress again. Speaking of drinks I was very kindly sent this AMAZING wine to try from Gallo Family Vineyards. I have to say, I am partial to some vino and I am usually a rose kinda girl, so it was nice to get the chance to try a white wine for a change. Now usually when I have white wine I have to add a bit of lemonade to get rid of the dry taste as I have a bit of a sweet tooth! So, before I opened the wine I went to the shop to grab a bottle of lemonade to make it a bit sweeter - even when a wine says 'sweet' I still never think it's that sweet to be honest. I have to say though, I didn't touch the lemonade all night - this super sweet and fruity wine was so easy to drink and it even reminded me of the 'shloer' non alcoholic drinks...but nicer!

The Gallo Moscato is described as a,"White Californian Wine Our Gallo Moscato is a lusciously sweet wine with flavours of tropical fruit such as pineapple and peach. Hints of orange blossoms and honey complement the fruity, yet refreshing finish." - This couldn't be a better description and I couldn't recommend this wine enough! Even my friends were taking pictures of the bottle so they can remember to buy it when they are next shopping. I will definitely be stocking up for Summer, it is THE perfect drink for a Summers day! I was also given this Spiced Orange Blossom Punch to make using the Gallo Moscato which I cannot wait to have a go at! I've put it under here if you fancy a go ;) You can buy this wine for £6.99 from most Supermarkets.

You'll need:
  • 2 bottles of Gallo Family Vineyards Moscato
  • Half a lemon, half an orange & 4 kumquats
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 2 tablespoons of orange blossom water
  • 80g sugar
  • 6 whole allspice
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • Twist of orange zest and physalis

How to:
  • Thinly slice the lemon, orange and kumquats, discarding any seeds. Quarter the orange slices.
  • Put the fruit into a pan and add honey, sugar, orange blossom and allspice.
  • With a knife, cut the cinnamon sticks lengthwise into thinner strips & add to the pan.
  • Add two cups of water to the pan, bring to boil over high heat then reduce heat and simmer gently for 5 minutes
  • Pour both bottles of Gallo Family Vineyards Moscato into the hot citrus base and heat until steaming for about 8 minutes
  • Pour into martini glasses with a twist of orange zest and a physalis for garnish.

I can't even explain how nice this wine is! I can't wait to have a go at this cocktail! I insist you give it a try if you are a wine fiend like me :)

Dress - River Island // Heels - River Island // Hoops & Rings - Topshop & H&M

Hey dolls,

Just thought I would share the River Island love seeing as they have so many gorgeous things in at the moment! I was recently looking through their Spring Edit on line and fell in love with this ah-maze printed t-shirt dress. I love the geometric/tiger print on this dress and I think it fits right in for Summer - I would definitely wear this on holiday!I am never really drawn to blues as I don't think it really suits me but I must say this has to be an exception!

I recently threw out loads of clothes (again....after clearing out just a month before) as I was moving into another new flat (I swear I could probably class myself as a gypsy the amount of times I move flats!) and to my despair when moving in the wardrobe in my new room is TINY!! My worst nightmare pretty much. So despite throwing out and giving away all the things I don't get enough wear out of I still manage to replace everything by buying loads more - I am actually insane and in need of some sort of shopping restrain. I'm thinking next month I'm going to go on a shopping ban and see how much I actually save, god loves a trier!

I am still gushing over my River Island Sale buy shoes too, they are too beaut and I can't believe I managed to get hold of them after about 2-3 weeks after the sale had launched! Surely these should have been long gone?! I'm not complaining anyway!

Hope everyone has had a lush weekend :)

Skirt - Miss Guided // Top - H&M // Shoes - River Island
Hey dolls,

Oooh my, this is my first post since before Christmas! Bad blogger! I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas & a Happy New Year :) and also ate as much as me *cry face*. I now have to find myself a new gym and some motivation from somewhere to get a bangin bod for Summer....Zzzz. To be honest I am so ready for Summer. I know we have only just had Christmas but I always hate the in between part to Summer - I always find it so hard to dress for with the lovely UK weather (naaat).

Anyway I'm obviously madly obsessed with all PVC pencil skirts since Kimmy K was last rocking one (I bought the tan one from Topshop too!) so I decided to get this pretty pastel pink one from Miss Guided to wear over the Christmas period. I ended up not wearing it due to getting lots of nice things to wear from my family so I now need somewhere to wear this to! The only thing I found with this skirt is that it was a bit too long for my liking, so me being me, decided to give it the snip so it was the same length as my Topshop one. I was a bit apprehensive at first but its the type of fabric that wouldn't fray so it was all good. I had also been putting off the A\W sales because I hate how busy and ruthless people are and I'm just too lazy to be so hyperactive over a sale rail, unless it's something that I really want. Howevveeeeer, I went into River Island on a week day in the hope of less people and I managed to get some beaut new heels and a dress that will be ideal for summer! I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty chuffed with my purchases!

Has anyone else ventured into the sales or are you a hater like me? Haha

Gorgeous Couture

Dress - Gorgeous Couture // Shoes - Topshop // Midi rings - eBay

Hey dolls,

Eeeep its just 9 sleeps till Christmas now - how exciting! I can't wait to go home and spend some quality time with the familia and just have a general break from work. I've been super organised this year and got all my presents in advance (thank god). Last year was too stressful as I decided to leave it all till last minute as per. Honestly, running round Manchester like a headless chicken is not the one. So I'm happy I can just chill out till I break up from work and enjoy the build up to Christmas day :)

On another note, I was absolutely thrilled when an email popped up from Gorgeous Couture asking me if I would like to be part of their December blogger edit! I always love receiving their blogger edit emails and oggling over some beaut bloggers in GC's latest designs! To be asked to be part of this too, I was completely over the moon and SO excited to wear one of their gorgeous dresses. When my parcel arrived I couldn't wait to get inside and ripped open the wrapper as quick as I could (you can't wait around for a dress like this ;). The dress came beautifully wrapped in tissue paper in a black box with a luxurious black velvet hanger - what more could I ask for? I love the fact there is so much thought put into the packaging and you really feel like you are getting a luxury item! Fit for a princess ;)

When I saw the dress I totally fell in love. I'm obsessed with white dresses, I think they look so expensive and are look amazing with loads of accessories and at the same time can look good with just minimal jewellery. I tried this dress on with a few statement necklaces, but decided I preferred the minimal look with some gold midi rings and a slick of M.A.C's RiRi Woo on my lips.

My favourite part of the dress is the stunning cut out back, which I think makes this dress super sexy and reminds me of something worthy of a red carpet. I can't tell you how much I love this dress and I can't wait to wear it for something special! You definitely get your money's worth with Gorgeous Couture - from the super high quality fabric to the beautiful packaging, I really couldn't ask for more! The dress I am wearing is the 'Freya Maxi Dress' which you can find HERE.

Have you bought anything from Gorgeous Couture before?
