Bodysuit & Skirt - Missguided // Heels - Zara (old season)

So if you didn't already know I was obsessed with Missguided, these are my latest bits I have managed to get my mitts on. It was recently my birthday and one of my besties got me this beaut nude midi skirt that I had had my eye on for a while. It's such an amazing quality for such a bargain price (only £12!) and is a doubled fabric that really keeps it's shape. I love nude and white as a combo and these shades together are definitely one of my favourite summer staples. If nude isn't your thanng but are after a bodycon midi they also have this skirt in rust, white, black and grey - a Kim K dream! I have also become a massive lover of bodysuits recently. I bought this white bodysuit a few weeks ago and I have worn it so much, I definitely am going to stock up. It's so easy to wear dressed up or down and is perfect for that day to night transition. I also think they are ideal for festivals teamed with some denim shorts! The shoes are from previous seasons ago but are  my go-to heels every time. Who doesn't love a lace up heel?

What are your favourite summer shades?

Magnifique

Dress/Vest - Zara // AirForce 1 Low-Tops - Footlocker // Rings - Topshop

Hey dolls,

So it's been a while! I have had a busy few weeks with it being my birthday and also getting a new job :) new starts and all that jazz. June has been a good month and I can't believe it's July already! I'm heading to Wireless festival on Friday for the weekend and I am SO excited! I go every year and I always have too much fun!

I recently had a little look in the Zara sale - if you have read my posts before you will know that I HATE going through sale (I don't know if it's the longgg years of working in a retail store and wanting to genuinely kill anyone that throws everything on the floor, or the general ball ache of  just trowelling through loads of crap.) However, I managed to walk in Zara on the first day of the sale on a whim so it wasn't too bad. I picked up everything white as per usual and also found my dress that I bought a few weeks ago with £20 off (sake) along with this little number. It's a super nice soft fabric and perfect for just everyday wear whilst it's pretty warm. It's quite sports luxe so I teamed it with my brand new AirForce 1 low-tops that I love, a lot. I also ended up in Topshop sale and headed straight over to the jewellery section as this is always full of gems (literally) I managed to get an all white (shock) choker and all white/gold rings and midi rings for about £6 - how could I resist?
Have you been in the sales?

Public Desire: Faves

(L-R) Kelis, Tasha, Lailah, Neive - Public Desire via My1stWish

Hey dolls!

So since I've been getting ready to head for some well needed sun, I have obviously been spending money I certainly don't have on anything and everything that screams summer. Not only have I been making weekly visits to the likes of Zara & H&M (my absolute fave high street shops) I have been scouring on line for cute pieces I can jam into my over flowing suit case.

I find that Instagram is perfect for finding new and up and coming brands that offer you something a bit different to the high street. I have found loads of brands through the likes of Instagram and Twitter and bought myself more than a few key pieces for summer. All of which are super cute and different to anything I would buy from the likes of Zara or Topshop.

I recently came across a shoe dream when I saw the beaut Sarah Ashcroft from 'That Pommie Girl' wearing a pair of the pink 'Callie' platforms (seriously dreamy) from new brand Public Desire. Like most girls, as soon as we get a sniff of Spring/Summer it's pastel central when it comes to re-stocking the wardrobe and these are a perfect addition! I then started following Public Desire on Instagram where I fell more and more in love with their new range of pretty shoes and mentally teaming them up with summer outfits in my wardrobe. I've picked out my four current faves that I'm lusting over right now (especially those Kelis platforms!) as seen above. The Kelis and Tasha's are perfect for pairing with a cute co-ord for a girls night out and the Lailah & Neive are pairs that I would wear through the day or on holiday - comfy and chic all wrapped into one!

There are loads more styles to choose from over at My1stWish and with super affordable prices along with a crazy cheap delivery service, you really can't go wrong! If you don't already follow them on Instagram you can do HERE. This is the best way to see all their new and up and coming stock... it really is shoe heaven!

Have you bought a pair of Public Desire's before? They are to die!

Got me Faded

Dress - Closet // Bag - River Island // Shoes - Primark

Hey dolls,

I got this super cute shift dress before Christmas as a starter item for my S/S14 wardrobe, so thought I would pull it out for a new post. It is from 'Closet' which if you haven't heard of before is a London based company selling high quality dresses that I think are perfect for christenings, weddings etc. They have a large range of dresses and from all the ones I have seen the quality of the fabric is always on form. My dress doesn't seem to be on there but there is a similar peplum style one HERE that I think is super cute!

My mum came to Manchester the other weekend and she treat me to these gladiator style sandals which I fell in love with when I saw the Primark S/S14 shoe campaign on line! They have SO many nice and super affordable shoes coming in so I am constantly keeping my eye out for my faves! They are perfect for everyday and would be ideal for taking with you on holiday - I love them!

I hope every one is having a good week! Mine has been a good one based on the fact I got the opportunity to go and see the queen again (Beyonce) with my little sisters who couldn't have been more excited! We had such a good night and Beyonce was, of course, incredible in every way!

Did anyone else go and see Queen Bey?

#Ririlovesmac

Hey dolls,

I haven't done a beauty post in a while but I was so excited about the new RiRi Loves MAC collection, I felt I should do a little post on my new beauties! To be honest I definitely bought the products due to the celebrity endorsement - I am easily sucked in. However I fell in love with the packaging and decided I needed a new mascara, red lippie and bronzer/blusher anyway. I have used all three of my products a few times now so here are my thoughts so far...

RiRi Loves MAC Powder Blush Duo - Hibiscus Kiss

"Rihanna's Powder Blush Duo in Hibiscus Kiss combines two shades of M·A·C's celebrated colour for cheeks and face. Cool coral complements a neutral matte bronze in one gorgeous package." - M.A.C

This was the one product that I 100% wanted from the RiRi Loves Mac range as my favourite pink bronzer and blusher have both run out, so it made sense to try out this duo. I love a pink blusher as I feel it complements dark hair and looks lovely when you have a tan if applied lightly. I have to say the pink blusher is very pigmented so you don't have to use a lot and I think it looks lovely on. The bronzer is also a lush shade but as I am a bit of a tan addict, it doesn't show up very well on my skin. As you can see in my swatch (it's the one on the left) it's quite hard to see - it does give a nice glow though and works well as a powder to brush over my face.

RiRi Loves MAC Lipstick - RiRi Woo

"Part of the four limited-edition shades created by Rihanna. In Retro Matte - the signature red of RiRi Woo" - M.A.C

Originally I was after the 'nude' lipstick from this collection, however I was out of luck when I hit Selfridges and it had already sold out - boo :( despite this, the gold packaging was too pretty so I couldn't leave without getting one! The dark purple  and burnt orange shades aren't really me so I opted for the red matte shade 'RiRi Woo'. I only own one other red lipstick in red (Russian Red) so it's nice to try others. I know a lot of bloggers love Ruby Woo, which I can only imagine is pretty much the same, so I grabbed this one as well. If you love a matte lip this is for you! I find this lipstick more drying than my fave matte lippy (please me) so I think I will have to put a slick of gloss or balm on for a bit of extra lip hydration! It's super pigmented though and I can't wait to wear this over Chrismas!

RiRi Loves MAC - Extended Play Gigablack Lash

"A lightweight curling, lifting mascara in an intense carbon black pigment. Applies with a petite gripper brush embedded with micro-spheres to give each lash effortless, upward bending definition and extreme volume. Easy wash-off formula. Smudge-free. Lasts 16 hours." - M.A.C

I have got to say, I love this mascara. It's so easy and quick to apply and I see an instant difference in my lashes. I already wear the Eyelure individual lashes everyday so I just apply a tiny bit to the ends of them for extra definition. However, when I use this on my bottom lashes, they are instantly separated with one application and as the brush is quite thin, it makes applying this to the lower lashes super easy. I used to love big, thick mascara brushes but I have recently found after using the Bobby Brown mascara that the thinner brushes seem to be more effective on my lashes. If this mascara works so well on my lower lashes, I can imagine it works wonders for the top lashes! I would definitely re-purchase this again.

You can get the RiRi Loves MAC collection from Selfridges, House of Fraser & Debhanams and if course MAC stores & online!

Have you tried any of the RiRi Loves MAC range?

eBay Wishlist #1

So I decided to make a little eBay wishlist/finds type of post as I love reading other peoples, being the eBay addict that I am!You can always get super cheap stuff on eBay which is great for girls that love fast fashion and use something a few times until they fall in something else (all sounds familiar....). I have seen the tee and beenies floating round blogs for a while now and are perfect for slouch/bad hair days! I am a massive fan of chunky necklaces and have been loving the gold lion ones recently, I bought one a few months back but this one is a bit different and would look lush with a tee and blazer combo. Accompany this with a perspex clutch and voila, outfit complete!

Do you love eBay as much as me?

Get Yo Freak'um Dress On, Every Woman Got One

 Dress - Ebay // Rings - H&M // Gold Chain - Ebay

Hey dolls!

So I haven't blogged for nearly 2 weeks now :( boo! This is due to me cleverly breaking my camera. I had been banging on about how I wanted this DSLR and that DSLR (mines just your standard digital) and then mine decides to give up on me :( I mean give me a chance to save up. So now I'm in a predicament as I need a new camera but would rather put my money towards a DSLR that I really want instead of buying some £70 digital again. Absolute Nelly & Kelly! Either way I am apologising for the lack of quality of these pictures as they are taken on my Iphone 5.

Anywayyyy, I went out at the weekend for my friends birthday in Liverpool. I was super excited as 1. I love Liverpool nights out - they are always super fun, I've never had a bad night. 2. I haven't seen my girl for ages (birthday girl) 3. I had a new dress to wear.

I got my dress off Ebay after having a browse for a bandage dress. I love the celeb boutique ones but I'm just so skint at the moment I can't justify spending £120 on a dress for one night. As usual I always turn to Ebay as I find so many gems on there. If you like this dress just search 'yellow bandage dress' in Ebay and loads come up for around £40-£60 depending on how lucky you are at the time! I wasn't sure my dress was going to make it on time but thankfully the seller was an absolute babe and made sure I got it on time.

However me being me, tried the dress on and then 'decided' I didn't like it on. I think it was one of those 'rubbish hair and no make-up' moments where you think the outfit just looks shit 'cos you're not all done up. I then started demolishing my wardrobe for plan B. My flatmate found me in a complete stress and made me try it on again and somehow convinced me it looked fine. I took it to Liverpool as my only option as I didn't want to be messing around undecided when I got there - I hate that feeling! My friend had booked us into the 'scousest' salon I have ever been in for a blow dry as if you're hitting Liverpool you have to go the full whack right? Go hard or go home! I love having big bouncy hair anyway so I was loving life. We had champagne whilst we all got beautified (some girls got their make up done) then we were ready to go. This gave the dress a massive transformation and I decided I liked it when I was all done up. I had such a fun night and I can't wait to go back again!!

Have you been out in Liverpool before? Do you like the bandage dresses?

wednesday wishlist

wednesday wishlist

Hey dolls,

It's nearly Friday YAY! Its late but my laptop decided to pack in last night when I was trying to put up this 'Wednesday Wants' post. Soo that's annoying as it's obviously not even Wednesday any more. The joys of technology ey. Either way its still my wish list and I still want it all regardless of what day of the week it is so here we go...

1. Pharaoh Bodycon Dress (Pretty Little Thing) - I absolutely love this Pharaoh print! Its a little bit different to your standard bodycon dress and is an absolute steal at £20. Ever since I went to Egypt this year I have been obsessed with everything Egyptian and this definitely fits the bill. Pretty Little Thing always have so much to offer, I fell in love with their website after attending the Pretty Little Thing blogger event and I can't get enough of their stuff!

2. Strap Back Slip Dress (Topshop) - This Topshop beaut was taken into the fitting room with me at the weekend. I LOVE the colour and I was so excited when I saw it! However, when I tried it on I liked it but didn't 'love' it, if you get what I mean? It doesn't really do wonders for my figure as I have quite big boobs and its one of them that just hangs off you. It was alright, yet I can't stop thinking about it now? What is wrong with me? I think I still want it!

3. 'Beware of the Plastics' Purple Baseball T-Shirt (The Pretty Junk) - This top has been a favourite of mine for a while. I am a bit of a hardcore Mean Girls fan so I am certainly feeling the reference of the slogan! I was lucky enough to win one of these tops in a twitter comp and it has become another website I have fallen in love with! They have loads of cool stuff and they stock some amazing brands like 'Spell Designs' and 'Lazy Oaf' to name a few.

4. Azami Ruched Split Maxi Skirt (Miss Guided) - If you haven't checked out the Miss Guided new 'basics' range I suggest you do now. So, so cheap and loads to choose from. I love basic items and I literally filled up my basket the other day and it wasn't even expensive AT ALL. I love a bit of side split so these skirts are right up my street! I already  own one in purple so I think this grey one is perfect for throwing on with a tee tucked in or a bodysuit!

5. Black Tassel Bag (H&M) - I am a massive sucker for tassel, especially when it comes round to Summer and I do love a tassel bag. I already have 3 in black and brown/tan but there's something about this one that just looks expensive and chic. I think this is perfect for the transition into A/W and I'm probably going to try and snap it up for £20!

6. Motel Kimmy Mini Tube Skirt in Green Palm Leaf (Motel) - So this one is a want but I sort of already bought it (oops), it is currently waiting for me at reception yay! I wanted this ever since I saw Lulu Trixabelle wearing the full combo on her blog. I initially wanted the matching top but I'm not sure it would suit me so I just went for the skirt and will pair it up with a black crop or something!

7. Giuseppe Zanotti Shoe Boots - Okay, I'm pretty sure I wont be getting these any time soon, but a girl can dream. With a hefty £800+ price tag these aren't the cheapest but just look how beautiful they are! Very Kim K and probably my favourite style of heel. I love a shoe boot!

Red

Dress - MissGuided // Chain - Ebay // Stud Platform Boots - Daisy Street*

Hey Dolls,

Eeeep I haven't blogged for so long, I've been so busy! I turned 23 this month and ever since then I've been non stop. Need to get my blogging head back on :)

I recently got this dress from Miss Guided which I have wanted for quite a while as I don't really have anything in this style and I like the 'bardot' style cut at the top. I think the free delivery swayed my decision to finally buy the dress as well 8). When I first got the dress I loved it but I wasn't so keen on the length as for some reason it just didn't look right on me. I tried rolling the dress up to a shorter length which I decided looked much better and made the amendments myself. Despite all this there is a shorter length version of this dress called the 'Rorry' dress but me being lazy and impatient, didn't want to wait for returns/exchange and I could have been possibly out of the time limit to return anyway. I also need to add that the quality of the dress is really impressive. The fabric is quite thick with a good stretch which is what you want in a bodycon dress, I've had some bad ones that are super thin and just pretty rubbish in general but this one gets a massive thumbs up!

I think this is perfect dress for day to night wear as I think it would look lush with biker style or cut out black boots for through the day and then with some heels for night. I teamed mine with the trusty Jeffery Campbell lookalikes from Daisy Street, which have featured on quite a few of my posts now and my chunky gold chain necklace which is always hanging round my neck - it's love!

You can get this dress HERE off Miss Guided for £14.99 and the shorter version that I have amended my length to HERE for £13.99 which in my eyes are both major bargains!

Pocahontas

 Top - Get The Label* // Skirt - H&M // Indian Boots - River Island // Bag - Primark

Hey dolls!

Yaaaaaay it's Friday !! Hope you all have fun plans for the weekend, I'm not really doing much except working at Old Trafford on Sunday for the charity game. I hope it stays sunny! I decided to get back to the gym last night and I think I nearly died - definitely over did it :'( all in the name of a Summer bod though!

I recently got sent this gorgeous embellished top from Get The Label which I love. It's an oversized sheer top with a gorgeous gold embellishment pattern on the front. I love white and gold together and I think this is perfect for summer to throw on with a skirt or shorts. It's really lightweight and even comes with a cami that you can put underneath. You can get this HERE for just £12.99!! It RRP's at £26.99 so you are definitely getting a bargain.

I teamed it with my brown H&M skirt which was something silly like £3. I have these in a few colours as I think they are so handy to have and are really comfortable to wear for both day to night wear. My Primark tassel bag was obviously a bargain too but I got this a few years ago. They have loads of tassel things in at the moment though so there is probably something similar knocking about if your a tassel lover like me! I also have been a bit naughty recently and bought myself these beautiful 'Pocha' tassel ankle boots that I have fallen in love with. I popped in River Island to see the new Rihanna collection (which is gorgeous) and then spotted these on offer from £45 to £25. I couldn't really resist, even though I am on a shopping ban and need to save my money....I just can't help myself. I don't really feel too bad though to be honest as they are super comfy, I will get loads of wear out of them and I got them nearly half price - can't complain!

I hope you all have a fab weekend :)

City Life

Necklace - Henryka* // Top - Vera Moda (Get The Label)* // Shorts - River Island // Shoes - Zara

Hey dolls,

Hope everyone had an amazing bank holiday weekend! I had a pretty boring one to be honest, although I did enjoy the sun and even had a cheeky little sunbathe in the hammock on my balcony. I rarely get to use it in these climates, so it was nice to finally put it to proper use! I also went to the drive in cinema in Manchester to see The Hangover 3 for the first time which was very cool (I felt like I was in Grease!). I recommend it to anyone who lives nearby as its such a cool thing to do AND you can order Dominoes to your car AS WELL. Obviously I was sold! It's the only one in Europe too! I had heard mixed reviews about the 3rd Hangover, a bit of love and hate going on, but I laughed my head off all the way through and even though I agree it's not as good as the other two, it's still worth a watch.

So back to the outfit, I was very kindly sent a beautiful cute little charm necklace from Henryka - a silver and amber jewellery retailer. I chose a super cute seal pendant, which is a silver seal with a cognac amber ball on top of its nose. I literally love it! You can find it HERE and at £23, I think that's really reasonable for a silver pendant. There are a few other cute ones I like as well, such as the swallow pendant and all the star sign pendants! Might I add all these are now just down to £7.20 which is an absolute bargain!
There are lots of gorgeous, cute little pieces of jewellery on their website where you can find the perfect gifts and delicate pieces that I think are perfect for birthday presents. I'd love to receive a silver pendant for my necklace as a gift! The chains are also gorgeous if you are after something plain, or something to put your own personal charms on. You can find them HERE. I've worn mine with a simple outfit as I think this shows off the charm best.

I also have on my Vero Moda black knitted top, which I chose at the amazing Get The Label event! I love this top as it's something that I am going to get a lot of wear out of. Simple and comfy, yet teamed with some shorts and heels it looks great for a sunny day shopping with the girls or going for mid day cocktails ;). You can find this top HERE and it is now just £7.99 from £17.99!! Bargain or what! Its pretty good quality as well, so definitely worth a buy! I hadn't heard of Get The Label until I attended their event a few weeks ago, and there are so many bargains on the website! Lots of branded clothing and shoes with massive price cuts! Check it out :)

I then teamed both of these with my ever faithful River Island city shorts and my BELOVED Zara beauties that I have wanted FOREVER. I recently found them on Ebay in my size and literally cried with joy. I snapped them up immediately as I had literally struck gold -very happy Ashleigh. I think they are perfect for Summer and they aren't too high so I can wear them in the day too. They sort of remind me of Kim Kardashian which is probably half the reason I love them so much!

South Beach Swimwear Party

Hey dolls,

On Wednesday night I was lucky enough to be invited to the South Beach Swimwear event! I was really excited to attend this one as I am a sucker for a pretty bikini and I had seen quite a few on their website that I have been keeping a watchful eye over ;). The event was in Manchester at 'Frurt' in Spinningfields - an amazing frozen yogurt bar. Erm hello, bikini's and frozen yogurt's = I'm in heaven!

I'd had a pretty stressful day so I was really looking forward to heading to 'Frurt' to cheer up with a dose of fro yo and swimwear. I arrived just as it had all began and was greeted by the lovely Katie and a glass of some sort of strawberry alcoholic fancy beverage (I can't remember what they are called!) which might I add was delicious! I delved straight into the rails to see all the new pretty swimwear! It was all decorated really nice with even a palm tree and deck chair setting to give the place a holiday feel. I must say the bikini's are gorgeous, my favourites had to be the white crochet, the brightly coloured stripey/patterned ones and not to mention the lush khaki tassel set. This would look beaut with one of their gorgeous crochet tops over, very boho! They even had a range of onesie/lounge wear pieces that were super cute - I love the tiger print ones, perfect for lounging around in!

After I had had a look around and placed my blogger tag on my fave piece (these all went into a raffle to win your favourite one!) I was straight over to the Frurt yogurt bar to get me some yummy fro yo! I've been here before as its right by my gym (after gym snacks - oops) and I literally love it. I also caught up with my lovely Manchester blogger friends which is always one of the best parts of attending blog events :)

On leaving I was handed an amazing goody bag filled with lots of treats and a snapback from the South Beach Swimwear range - I LOVE IT! Plus I even got a 40% discount voucher to spend online! amazing :) I also have a code for you lovely lot if you fancy a cheeky holiday purchase! If you enter TOPBLOG15 you can get yourself some discount with that. You can find the fab website HERE. Make sure you check it out!

Do you love bikini shopping?
