Nicki Minaj Lipstick for MAC

Hello :)!

It's a bit late but I have just booked my Wireless Festival ticket for July in Hyde Park and I am too excited to sleep! Drake, Nicki Minaj and Ri Ri all in 24 hours. It's my dream! Soon it will be time to shop for holiday and festival outfits, Eeeek! Anyway speaking of Nicki Minaj, I'll get back to the original topic....

Even though this may be old news for some of you, I am very keen to get my hands on the new Nicki Minaj Viva Glam lipstick for MAC!

If you didn't know already, Nicki Minaj has teamed up with MAC again for the new Viva Glam release. Even Ricky Martin is getting involved (where have you been all my life?!) and went and got his name on a new MAC lip conditioner! Cray!
However, the best thing about Viva Glam is that even though you are getting a gorgeous lipstick, you know your money is being well spent. Every penny of the sales goes to MAC Aids Foundation to help people all over the world fighting HIV and Aids. In my eyes there isn't a better excuse to go out and get it :).

I am highly excited for the UK release date of Minaj's new lippie! I was gutted when she brought out her 'Pink Friday' lipstick and it literally sold out straight away *sobs* (it only went on sale on a Friday, hence 'Pink Friday'...convenient, not). I checked it out on Ebay and it was an absolute fortune so I swerved that one. Believe me, I wont let this one slip away so easily!

Here are the two brand new Viva Glam releases....

I really like the look of the pink lipstick, as it seems to have more 'yellow' tones than my other set of pink MAC lipsticks. I hate buying lipsticks that are pretty much the same colour, especially when you are paying for a brand like MAC, it's not the cheapest!

To be honest I don't think I will bother with the lip conditioner. Not that it won't be any good, it's just I like to stick to my 99p pot of Vaseline, it never lets me down and it looks after my lips just fine. I'm all for giving to charity, but I am still a student so I cant afford it all!

What does everyone else think of the new Viva Glam collection? Does anyone know when the UK release date is? Will anyone else be buying either of the Viva Glam products?

My New Hair Must Have!

Hello :)

So recently I went to London for the week and stayed at my friends house. I LOVE going to see her , she always has the most amazing new clothes and jewellery and definitely inspires my clothes/accessories! I'm such a copy cat!

Anyway, her boyfriend is a hairdresser/stylist and I'm always picking up tips and advice from him when it comes to everything hair. So far all advice given has improved my knowledge on hair products and what to use.

Whilst I was there she gave me some serum for my hair after I had washed it called, 'Orofluido Beauty Elixir'. I'm not even joking this stuff is amazing.

I never usually put any other product in my hair other than shampoo, conditioner, heat spray protection and occasionally hairspray & dry shampoo. I always feel that if I whack all these products in my hair it is just going to make it greasier quicker.

Basically she explained to me how everyone went cray over the Moroccan oil treatment for hair and how this is pretty much a dupe of it saving you about £10.

100ml Orofluido Beauty Elixir

Orofluido Beauty Elixir

Beauty elixir for all hair types, with a pure luxuriance that envelops your hair. Three organic natural oils in an exquisite mixture with a pleasant, silky texture, absorbed rapidly and leaving no residue in the hair.
Its delicious amber fragrance with a vanilla foundation will transport you into a fascinating world of oriental perfume.

At the moment I just have a 5 ml sample bottle (£3.95 on Ebay) as my friend kindly had a few going spare and filled one up for me. However I am definitely going to be making a purchase of  the 100ml as it makes my hair super soft right to the ends and I literally sit there smelling my hair all day, it smells THAT good.

Basically all you need to do is put a 5 pence piece size drop on your hand, rub your hands together and gently comb your hands through your hair right to the ends for super silky hair.

It is definitely my new favourite product and I have managed to find it pretty cheap on Ebay. The cheapest I have managed to find a 100ml bottle is £12.99 free P&P as directly from the site it is much more expensive. I would highly recommended for all hair types as me and my friend both have very different hair types and we both love it!

Has anyone else tried this product?

OOTD & OOTN

Olah :)

So this week I went on a massive job hunt for part time work whilst I'm at uni *sigh*, and then decided to not let the lack of money of a student life get me down (I'm doing a masters = NO LOAN) and hit one of my favourite RnB night's with my friends.

I never really bother with massive heels in the day as it just gets more painful as the day goes on, but I thought I should dress up a little bit more if I wanted someone to employ me!

Here is what I wore...

Leather Jacket- Zara
Black Top- Primark
Jumpsuit- Republic
Tan belt- Primark
Platform Chelsea boots- Topshop
Body Chain- Topshop

This outfit literally began with me wanting to wear my jumpsuit, (which I got ages ago for £5 in the sale at Republic...Bargain!) and then just throwing other random things on to make it look more appealing and weather savvy for the lovely northern coldness.

I literally never go anywhere without my Zara leather jacket, it was such a good investment. I believe every girl should own one, as they go with everything and I love wearing it to  keep me warm on nights out! Definitely a wardrobe essential I think, well one of mine anyway.

I thought I would put on my platform Chelsea boots as I never really get chance to wear them. I see them more as a casual day shoe than a going out one, however I'm sure they would look pretty cute dressed up as well. The picture I took doesn't really show them off very well so here are the exact same ones a little clearer from the website...

They definitely made my outfit look a lot smarter and considering I was walking around all day, they didn't hurt one bit which is always a bonus with heels in my eyes!

So yes that was my outfit of the day ! Later on I was persuaded (didn't take long) to go to my all time favourite night in Manchester- Juicy. I absolutely love the place, Classic old school RnB & Hip Hop...my kind of night. If anyone ever ventures to Manchester on a Wednesday and appreciates this kind of music too, I suggest you check it out :).

However to my misfortune of our group arriving too late, the queue was HUGE and it was more than likely we wouldn't get in. I for one like most girls, HATE queueing in the cold, so we all decided to hit the club over the road- Factory. I don't know if anyone has been before but for me it's one of them that I use as a last resort - it's okay. Anyway, regardless to this-Wednesday night was AMAZING! It basically played most of what you would hear in Juicy so I was a very happy girl. Here we all are before we went out ....

My outfit is the black all in one ASOS number, which I bought a while ago but I have always dismissed it as a choice in the past for some reason. I think I tried it on with big heels once and it just looked a bit trashy with all the back cut out...don't ask me why it just did ha! However I thought it looked pretty cool with high tops and a loose chain belt from River Island since we all went for a casual look. It's just one of them sort of nights, no one wears heels and its all very chilled out. Don't get me wrong I love getting glammed up and putting my massive heels on, but sometimes its nice to not have the pain kicking in on your feet as you begin to sober up!

I also had major clothes envy of my friend Elle's skin tight shimmery blue pants from American Apparel - how gorgeous are they?! I need to invest in a pair!

Anyway that's all my outfits of the day :)

Mini make-up spree :)

Hello :)

So, on Wednesday I went for a little browse up town, and of course I couldn't resist a little spend. Even though I have NO money to burn at the moment. Standard Ashleigh behaviour! Anyway, I went with the intentions of a new foundation, as I am literally scraping every last drop out with my foundation brush, never good.

I always go in Selfridges for MAC make up, but thought I would have a wander in House of Fraser for a change. All I can say is I left confused with no foundation (I'm not very good with types of foundations, I never know what to get) as the sales assistant listed all the foundations and wandered off?! So I was still none the wiser! Anyway even though I am still rationing foundation, I did pick up some lovely bits that I love already !

Firstly the new MAC lipstick - Lovelorn.

I love this new lipstick! I know quite a few people already have this, but I have always been drawn to the 'Matt' lipsticks as I like the full coverage (My all time favourite and still is, is "please me"). However, I thought I should try one of the 'Lustre' lipsticks for a change. This looked a lovely girly pink colour, and I haven't wore another lipstick since I bought it! I love how the shine on my lips means I don't really have to bother with lipgloss as a topcoat, as I like it without. Overall, very impressed.

My second purchase was from Benefit- 'Girl meets pearl'. I already knew what I wanted as I had a smaller version of the product from a Christmas present- 'I'm Glam, therefore I am'.

As soon as I tried on the 'Girl meets pearl', I loved it! My friend had already recommended me this and after trying it, I definitely wanted the bigger version.

I have tried other highlighters, but this is definitely my favourite by far. I don't wear foundation in the day, just bronzer, so a touch of 'Girl meets pearl' is perfect for that extra glowy skin.

Benefit says, "With light reflecting pigments...it's a dewy glow" and "Raspberry & Chamomile known for soothing". Explaining why it smells so delicious!

So considering I'm no make up expert, I was pretty impressed with my new treats! They are both worth buying for sure :).

Does anyone else have these products?
