Country Gyal

Top - Topshop (old season) // Levis - Vintage // Boots - H&M // Watch - Michael Kors

Hey dolls,

So I came home back to the lakes this weekend and I couldn't have come at a better time - I need a break! As much as I love the city life, there is nothing better than coming home to see the fam and spending a bit of time in the country air! My little brother has managed to slowly take over my bedroom with all his crap which I am not happy about (if you're reading this - move it) but other than that it's been a lovely weekend so far! Today me and my mum went to a little town called Ulverston and spent a few hours looking in all the cute vintage 'shabby chic' looking home shops and eating bon bons from the old school sweet shop - yum!

If you have read any of my previous posts I mentioned that I had broke my camera *sobs* so until I can fork out for a new one I have been borrowing and using my trusty Iphone 5. The quality isn't amazing but I don't think these images have come out too bad considering. It was nice to take some outfit pics in my back garden as usually I have to work with a city apartment which isn't always the prettiest when it comes to background scenery! My flatmate very kindly gave me this top as she wasn't feeling it anymore so I didn't hesitate to snap this out her hands when she offered it out, ha! I think its super cute and great for the Summer - Autumn transition! I also love my new H&M boots and they have barely left my feet since buying them last week as they are perfect for my trek to work and are super comfy. What's not to love!

I hope everyone is having a good weekend - I'm having a girlie night in tonight with lots of unhealthy food, good company and the new x factor series. I know, I know, my life is most certainly rock & roll........ ha!

Egyptian

 Pharaoh Dress - Karma Clothing* // Boots - H&M // Necklace- Primark // Cuffs - Ebay

Hey dolls,

So I was very excited to receive this dress off Karma Clothing as I have been eyeing it up for ages and I recently featured it on one of my wish lists. I think ever since I have been to Egypt this year I have just wanted to be an Egyptian princess and ride about on a camel all day and pretend I was on Sex & the City 2 .............

*dreams*

I love the print on this dress and I think it is perfect for day to night wear. I teamed mine with some new cut out boots that I picked up from H&M (£29.99) the other day because my Zara boots were driving me MAD. They look lush but they are so uncomfy and rub - I couldn't take the pain any more! I think this dress would also look pretty cool with some Jeffrey Campbell-esque platform boots to edge it up a bit and lots of gold bling.

You can get this dress >> HERE << and for £12.99 it is an absolute bargain if I don't say myself! If the Egyptian vibe isn't up your street, they have bodycon dresses galore in a range of patterns and styles that you will be spoilt for choice! Might I add, all very very reasonable and with student offers of 15% off and 10% off with every first purchase, I don't think you could ask for better! I think these dresses are perfect for going back to uni with - so easy to wear and something you can rock up to lectures with still looking effortlessly stylish!

Have you shopped at Karma Clothing before?

Get Yo Freak'um Dress On, Every Woman Got One

 Dress - Ebay // Rings - H&M // Gold Chain - Ebay

Hey dolls!

So I haven't blogged for nearly 2 weeks now :( boo! This is due to me cleverly breaking my camera. I had been banging on about how I wanted this DSLR and that DSLR (mines just your standard digital) and then mine decides to give up on me :( I mean give me a chance to save up. So now I'm in a predicament as I need a new camera but would rather put my money towards a DSLR that I really want instead of buying some £70 digital again. Absolute Nelly & Kelly! Either way I am apologising for the lack of quality of these pictures as they are taken on my Iphone 5.

Anywayyyy, I went out at the weekend for my friends birthday in Liverpool. I was super excited as 1. I love Liverpool nights out - they are always super fun, I've never had a bad night. 2. I haven't seen my girl for ages (birthday girl) 3. I had a new dress to wear.

I got my dress off Ebay after having a browse for a bandage dress. I love the celeb boutique ones but I'm just so skint at the moment I can't justify spending £120 on a dress for one night. As usual I always turn to Ebay as I find so many gems on there. If you like this dress just search 'yellow bandage dress' in Ebay and loads come up for around £40-£60 depending on how lucky you are at the time! I wasn't sure my dress was going to make it on time but thankfully the seller was an absolute babe and made sure I got it on time.

However me being me, tried the dress on and then 'decided' I didn't like it on. I think it was one of those 'rubbish hair and no make-up' moments where you think the outfit just looks shit 'cos you're not all done up. I then started demolishing my wardrobe for plan B. My flatmate found me in a complete stress and made me try it on again and somehow convinced me it looked fine. I took it to Liverpool as my only option as I didn't want to be messing around undecided when I got there - I hate that feeling! My friend had booked us into the 'scousest' salon I have ever been in for a blow dry as if you're hitting Liverpool you have to go the full whack right? Go hard or go home! I love having big bouncy hair anyway so I was loving life. We had champagne whilst we all got beautified (some girls got their make up done) then we were ready to go. This gave the dress a massive transformation and I decided I liked it when I was all done up. I had such a fun night and I can't wait to go back again!!

Have you been out in Liverpool before? Do you like the bandage dresses?

Jungle

Top - H&M // Skirt - Motel // Gladiator Sandles - Next // Bracelets - Various (old) // Rings - H&M

Hey Dolls,

Ahh it's Monday again and it seems the weather in Manchester has gone back to its rainy ways -joy! I also recently died my hair super dark by accident (oops) last week and I'm still getting used to it! It feels so dark waaaah! Anyway, I thought I'd share with you an outfit I wore this weekend. I recently saw this skirt on Lulu Trixabelle's blog and thought it looked summery and appropriate for the little heat wave we have been having. I decided it was destined to be mine and headed over to the motel website and added it to my basket straight away. Surprisingly I haven't actually bought anything off the motel website before, but it certainly pulls out all the stops for you when buying for the first time. I had signed up a while ago and got £5 store credit for my first purchase (I think it's £10 now!) and then I got an extra 25% student discount along with free delivery making this £22 skirt about £13! Winning.

I had bought a tiger printed sheer top from H&M in the sales and hadn't had chance to wear it yet so I popped it on and tied it into a crop. Then the outfit all seemed a bit 'jungly' soooo I added the gladiators and some tribal bracelets. Another recent purchase I added to the look was the H&M gold rings that come as a set of 4. I absolutely love them and I am definitely going to add the silver ones to my collection too. I love piling rings on my fingers, is this just me or anyone else? Oooh also I am looking to invest in a DSLR camera as I hate my images with my little old digital one so if anyone has any recommendations please throw them my way - it would be very much appreciated!

wednesday wishlist

wednesday wishlist

Hey dolls,

It's nearly Friday YAY! Its late but my laptop decided to pack in last night when I was trying to put up this 'Wednesday Wants' post. Soo that's annoying as it's obviously not even Wednesday any more. The joys of technology ey. Either way its still my wish list and I still want it all regardless of what day of the week it is so here we go...

1. Pharaoh Bodycon Dress (Pretty Little Thing) - I absolutely love this Pharaoh print! Its a little bit different to your standard bodycon dress and is an absolute steal at £20. Ever since I went to Egypt this year I have been obsessed with everything Egyptian and this definitely fits the bill. Pretty Little Thing always have so much to offer, I fell in love with their website after attending the Pretty Little Thing blogger event and I can't get enough of their stuff!

2. Strap Back Slip Dress (Topshop) - This Topshop beaut was taken into the fitting room with me at the weekend. I LOVE the colour and I was so excited when I saw it! However, when I tried it on I liked it but didn't 'love' it, if you get what I mean? It doesn't really do wonders for my figure as I have quite big boobs and its one of them that just hangs off you. It was alright, yet I can't stop thinking about it now? What is wrong with me? I think I still want it!

3. 'Beware of the Plastics' Purple Baseball T-Shirt (The Pretty Junk) - This top has been a favourite of mine for a while. I am a bit of a hardcore Mean Girls fan so I am certainly feeling the reference of the slogan! I was lucky enough to win one of these tops in a twitter comp and it has become another website I have fallen in love with! They have loads of cool stuff and they stock some amazing brands like 'Spell Designs' and 'Lazy Oaf' to name a few.

4. Azami Ruched Split Maxi Skirt (Miss Guided) - If you haven't checked out the Miss Guided new 'basics' range I suggest you do now. So, so cheap and loads to choose from. I love basic items and I literally filled up my basket the other day and it wasn't even expensive AT ALL. I love a bit of side split so these skirts are right up my street! I already  own one in purple so I think this grey one is perfect for throwing on with a tee tucked in or a bodysuit!

5. Black Tassel Bag (H&M) - I am a massive sucker for tassel, especially when it comes round to Summer and I do love a tassel bag. I already have 3 in black and brown/tan but there's something about this one that just looks expensive and chic. I think this is perfect for the transition into A/W and I'm probably going to try and snap it up for £20!

6. Motel Kimmy Mini Tube Skirt in Green Palm Leaf (Motel) - So this one is a want but I sort of already bought it (oops), it is currently waiting for me at reception yay! I wanted this ever since I saw Lulu Trixabelle wearing the full combo on her blog. I initially wanted the matching top but I'm not sure it would suit me so I just went for the skirt and will pair it up with a black crop or something!

7. Giuseppe Zanotti Shoe Boots - Okay, I'm pretty sure I wont be getting these any time soon, but a girl can dream. With a hefty £800+ price tag these aren't the cheapest but just look how beautiful they are! Very Kim K and probably my favourite style of heel. I love a shoe boot!
