Flat Hunting OOTD!

Hey gorgeous girls,

Before I go on with my OOTD... how amazing is the weather today! I will be loving life this week if the forecasts are true. Everyone is so much happier in the sun, and with the build up to Summer, the light nights mean everyone can enjoy it after a long day of grafting a 9-5. Yay !

Today I have been flat hunting in Manchester with my friend Jess. Having gone through this long and disheartening process before, I can tell it's going to be a while till we find the flat of our dreams and within our budget! Despite traipsing round estate agent after estate agent, the sun kept us in high spirits and we even stopped off at a gorgeous bar in Castlefield for a bottle of rose and some delicious BBQ food they had going on. Lush.

Choosing my outfit for flat hunting in this weather wasn't hard, I immediately opted for my Zara tunic dress which is a staple wardrobe item for me personally. I have worn this dress for a range of occasions as it is so versatile and easy to dress up or down. I have worn the dress with heels for my graduation, christening, concerts and yet I still turn to it for a casual day in Manchester.

As it literally felt like I was abroad today I went for my gladiator sandals, tassel bag, Ray Bans and a thin tan belt to accessorise. I think a white dress can easily be transformed for summer with lots of tan accessories, and of course a lovely olive tan to go with it (I'm still working on that part!).

Just a short post from me today, I hope everyone got chance to enjoy the sun today if you live in England!

Brave Soul Blogger Event

Hello lovely ladies !

Last night, I was lucky enough to be invited to the amazing blogger event for new clothing brand 'Brave Soul', and I got to get a sneak peak at their Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. It was so lovely to meet the team and gush over pretty clothes all night, as well as mingling with other lovely bloggers! The event was held in Manchester at 'Circle' club (for those of you who are familiar with Manchester) and I thought this was the ideal venue for a blogger event.

Not only was I greeted with by lots of lovely ladies, everyone was also handed a glass of champers on arrival and they even brought yummy canapes out for us to munch on whilst we browsed. Clothes, champagne & food...what more do we want!

Brave Soul have been up and running for around 6 months and I have already fallen in love. All the clothes are designed by the team and not imported like other online high street brands such as Miss Guided and Boohoo, yet still amazingly affordable. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love both of these online brands, but its hard not to admire and appreciate the effort and hard work that has gone into creating the Brave Soul brand, which can be seen by the quality and on-trend pieces I have snapped! They even have a Menswear collection, which is perfect for the boyf ;)

Overall I had a fantastic night. Not only was I introduced to an amazing new fashion brand, but I got to meet a lovely bunch of bloggers too. Its so nice to meet other people that share the same interests and passions as yourself..aww! But enough of the gush...If you need to stock up your wardrobe for holidays with the girls or you are getting festival fever, Brave Soul is your answer. MAC Paramount

Hello beautifuls :) !

I recently bought a lipstick from MAC and would like to share my thoughts, as it is not usually a colour I would go for. When it comes to lipsticks, I cant get enough of them and it is definitely what I spend most of my money on when it comes to buying make-up. I love lips, as you can be creative with them and they can literally finish off your outfit. I usually tend to go for pinks, corals and bright colours, as I feel these go well with most of my outfits/clothes. I do wear red from time to time but I only really bother with it if I am really dressing up.

Anyway I particularly admired Louise, from Made In Chelsea's lipstick from last Christmas. I thought the black on the lips was really daring and she looked stunning. I then noticed a lot of girls had got onto this trend and I regularly saw girls sporting the black lips. I recently saw my friend on Twitter's Instagram picture, with a black lip and she looked gorgeous. She told me she had got hers from Topshop, so I went to have a little browse. I tried on a few of the colours and still wasn't sure. I felt like the colour was too harsh on my lips, as well as making me look ten times paler than before.

Still determined to find the perfect darker shade, I ventured to Selfridges to pay a little visit to the MAC counter, which can sometimes be lethal of course. I had a look at some of the shades and one of the MAC girls put 'Paramount' on me. This was a dark brown colour I had picked up earlier, as I thought this might be a bit more subtle and obviously a warmer tone. The girl literally whizzed the mirror in my face and said 'it looks amazing, you have to get it!' and then sauntered off to find someone else to pounce on. I was sort of left like 'is she just saying that?', and I couldn't work out if I really liked it or not. In the end I decided it was better than black and purchased!

I've tried it on a few times now and I actually really like the colour. I think it is a good alternative to a black lipstick if you don't feel brave enough or don't suit such harsh tones on your lips.

Has anyone else had this problem?
Do you think brown is a good alternative?

OOTD The Pretty Pink Top - Shoppers Dilemma!

Hello lovelies :)

Today is an OOTD and my pink dilemma ! Basically ever since I saw a girl in work wearing the Zara pink sleeveless sheer shirt, I had wanted it real bad! It's a gorgeous bright, pastel pink, and would look perfect with a tan and during the Summer holidays. Whether it be rain or shine I could team it up with little white shorts in the sun, or some beige chino's in rainy England! Very practical and I had therefore convinced myself it was a 'must-have'. On the other hand, I had been a bit naughty with money recently and had to pay out for a few things as you do, so I was trying to budget myself when it came to clothes. The beautiful Zara shirt is £39.99, which isn't really expensive but my bank account was still unsure. As you can see I was having an absolute Nelly & Kelly about what to do... I wanted it so bad!

Look how pretty it is with it's little gold collar edges *sigh*, its also a lot brighter in real life than in the pictures.

Anyway, I ventured into town to see if there were any alternatives out there and came across a similar one in Topshop. It was also a beauty ! This time £32.00. This was much better as it was £8.00 cheaper and then £3.20 student discount. Yes, god bless the student card! So it would of course been, £28.80. However, I had to buy a dress for a wedding (I got a beauts one from Topshop which I will post after the weekend!) plus it was my friends birthday coming up, so I felt like I was spending loads. I still decided to keep the top on hold till the end of the day and I was pretty sure I was going to go back for it regardless and be a total reb.

THEN, I had the usual shopper stop off in H&M and whilst casually browsing I caught sight of some pink. The same colour as the other two shirts! Eek! There it was, a pink sleeveless shirt (not sheer), however, its a lovely soft material and otherwise identical to the one in Topshop with the low hem back. Not only this, the price tag read £7.99. What. I didn't have to think twice as I skipped to the till with joy. I wore my new shirt today and my bank balance can now rest a little while, till my next venture into town!

Pink shirt - H&M
Leopard Print Pants - H&M
Necklace - River Island
Boots- Manchester Shoe Boutique

Does anyone else love the Zara shirt?
I think I love the whole shop at the minute to be honest!

Cute New Bracelet !

Hello lovely ladies!

This is just a quick little post on my new BARGAIN buy that I thought you might like ! I was recently browsing Ebay out of pure boredom, and came across these totes cute peace bracelets! They come in lots of different colours and I had to have one, so I opted for the baby pink as I thought this would be perfect for Summer!

For some reason I managed to get mine for £2.75 but the seller seems to have upped her price to £3.95 on some of the colours. However, it is free P&P, which might I add arrives super quick, so I would still purchase! Some colours are still £2.45-£2.75 if you weren't wanting a pink one. I just want to buy them all and pile them round my wrist! You can get this bracelet here ! If you are looking for an even cheaper option, have a browse at the other peace bracelets on Ebay by just typing in 'peace bracelets' (duh, of course!) because loads of other cute ones come up too!

Also I would be ever so grateful if you would enter my blog in the Cosmopolitan 'Newcomer' blog awards, that you can find here :). I started my blog as part of my uni course, but I actually love writing and sharing my love for fashion, celebrities and all things pretty! Style Crush/Girl Crush: Cheryl Cole

Hello Beautifuls!

So today I was going to blog about last nights FHM 100 Sexiest Party in London. The obvious who was wearing what and the controversy of Tulisa stealing the hot spot. That was until I saw Cheryl's new video for 'Call My Name' and her style choices p*ssed all over the FHM party attire!

When I first heard the song I wasn't too sure and it has slowly grown on me. However, the video always makes a song for me, so I know I'm going to end up loving it from first viewing. I am so in love with all the outfits Chezza is wearing - want, want, want !! Her hair is also looking gorgeous and in good condition! I wasn't too sure about her being blonde. Despite the fact she can carry off anything, I definitely prefer her brown glossy locks - with lots of extensions of course! She even has it cut in my favourite style... very Eva Mendes! LOVE.

The exciting thing is we can actually buy these things from Net-A-Porter , downside is that they aren't exactly cheap. Sigh! We can still 'wish list' them though, right?!

(L-R) Altuzarra Blazer - £1,040
Dolce & Gabbana Bikini Bottoms - £150
Brian Atwood 'Alima' tri-colour peep toes £670

Although I cant find a perfect high street match for the blazer, I am hoping someone catches sight of the new Chezza vid and whips up a beautiful floral/tropical blazer at a price I can afford! Otherwise, I'm hitting the vintage shops! Here are some High Street similars I found ...

Oasis £55.00

Heels.com $90
Jessica Simpson

I'm not usually a huge fan of 'neon' as it reminds me of my younger days when I used to think it was okay to paint myself in neon when I went on a night out ...! However, I love the clash of prints Cheryl is wearing and I think if there is no blazer alternative, a tropical print sheer shirt would look just as good. Tied on the hips with the leopard print shorts and you are ready for Summer!

That's all from me and my Cheryl appreciation :) Hope everyone has a lovely day !!

Peace & Love

xoxo
