My Wednesday Wants!

My Wednesday Wants <3
Hey guys :)

Whilst I have been loving the beautiful sunshine again, I have been sat picking out my wishlist of all the things I love right now .....

1. Michael Kors
2. Zara
3. Wildfox
4. Miss Selfridge
5. Zara
6. Christian Louboutin
7. Celeb Boutique
8. All Saints
9. Ark (Levis Strauss Vintage)

There are so many other things I want at the moment but these have to be my favourites! I went into Zara today and wanted to cry at how many amazing pieces they have in at the minute. Wish I had a million pounds to go on a big spree in there, *sigh*.

I have wanted a pair of Louboutins since I was about 13 so I have a feeling they will be on my 'want' list until someone buys me a pair...if only!

As you can see I am feeling the Aztec patterns right now. I love Aztec. Everytime it comes round to summer, it reminds me of holidays and being in the sun which is always going to make me happy! I am also loving the yellow celeb boutique dress. Celeb Boutique is amazing as it is and I love that they have the 'Kimmie' dress now in yellow, as it is one of my favourite colours to wear (along with tan brown & white).

Anyway I hope everyone has had a lush day and managed to get some sunshine !!

Peace & Love

My Weekend Outfits :)

Hello lovelies :)

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend and lapped up the sun - probably our summer for the UK!

Yes, more OOTD'S! I also think I have featured the coral skirt for the third time in a row now, but I cant help it, I love it! We have had gorgeous sunny day's ideal for it and it is of course a spring/summer pastel.

Here is what I wore on Friday....

Top (actually a swimming costume!)- Topshop
Skirt-Vintage Shop
Belt- River Island
Plimsols- Primarks finest!

I literally don't know what possessed me to put on a swimming costume, but I wanted to block colour the outfit instead of just wearing it against white as usual. I never wear purple as I don't think it suits me but I quite liked these two colours together.

On Sunday I went home for the day (Lake District), and I decided to wear one of my favourite outfits that I can dress up or down for any occasion. I knew I was going to the beach at some point and then for drinks later, so here is my outfit with my platform wedges (I took this pre-journey home!)...

Dress (tucked in skirt)- Topshop
Skirt- Topshop
Wedges- Manchester Boutique
Bodychain- Topshop
I definitely hope there is more sun coming our way as I need to start getting a tan! There is nothing worse than having a gorgeous day then thinking 'what on earth can I wear 'cause I am pasty as hell!'.

I also got given my allowance at work today to get some lovely summery outfits from brand 'Jaeger'. It's so expensive and I would never pay that much for some of the things they sell, but some stuff is really nice so I will post my things soon! I also bought some absolute bargain make-up products from a blog sale (They are the way forward!!!) so I will also be reviewing these soon.

Peace & Love

OOTD :)

Hey Guys :)

Yay TGIF ! This is just a quick post on my outfit for the day. I'm going pretty casual today as I have a loooong weekend of work ahead, so I'm chilling today before I have to work my ass off.

Here is what I am wearing (excuse my silly poses, I feel too serious sometimes!)....

Top: H&M
Leggings: Miss Selfridge
Sneaks: Footlocker

Even though it's a bit of a miserable day today in Manchester, I thought I would bring out the more colourful side of my wardrobe with a pretty pastel. I must say, I think this is probably my favourite colour to wear. I love pastel colours and coral is my favourite colour in general. I also think the minty pastel colour looks beauts as well. Ahhhh too much love for Spring/ Summer.

Also my jewellery for the day...

Rings (1st Pic): Muse
Ring (2nd Pic): Spain (I have seen them in Miss Selfridge though! Random)
Earrings: Manchester Arndale Market

Tonight I am going to see 'We bought a Zoo'! I am soooo excited, this film looks right up my street :) and I've heard lots of good reviews!

Have a Fab Friday!

Get to know me :)

I know, I know...another 'Get to know me' Tag :). I like reading them all though *geekface*

1. Are you named after anyone?

Nope! Everyone I've seen answer this has some hidden meaning as to why they have the name they have, but unfortunately my mum just liked the name Ashleigh!

2. When was the last time you cried?

Last night at the trailer to 'We bought a Zoo'. I am actually a weirdo when it comes to crying at films. I will cry when it's happy or sad! I'm also a sucker for animals, I love them so much...I'm so soft!

3. Do you have kids?

Ha, I can barely look after myself never mind a 'mini me' running around. That would be no, lol.

4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?

Of course :) I have my flaws but we could just talk about everything we love cos it would be the same!

5. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Pretty much every day of my life. It just makes things funnier. If you can't hack it we probably wont be friends !

6. Will you ever bungee jump?

Hmm I'd never say never, however I would LOVE to skydive. I would do this ten times over bungee jumping. Defo.

7. Whats your favourite cereal?

Ready Brek all day long.

8. What is the first thing you notice about people?

Definitely shoes!! Shoes are my all time favourite thing and it's the first thing I will look at when I see someone! Especially if you are rocking some Loubies <3

9. What is your eye colour?

Green/Blue/Grey colour. It depends what light you are in to be honest! I'd say more green, but maybe I'm wishful thinking because green eyes are me all time faves.

10. Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy Endings every time!!!! HATE scary films. I have too much of a wild imagination to be sat in bed in the dark reminiscing over some creepy film I have just watched. ugh, just no.

11. Favourite smells?

Clean sheets, BBQ, freshly cut grass, shoe polish (random!) mango & coconut body butter and suncream because it reminds me of holidays :)

12. Summer or Winter?

Summer is my favourite because I love being tanned and laying in the sun, and the sun makes me happier in general. However, I love Christmas and being snuggled up with a film and a glass of wine whilst it's snowing outside :)

13. Computer or television?

Computer, I hardly ever watch T.V and I catch up with all my shows online :)

14. Whats the furthest place you've been from home?

America - I absolutely loved it and cant wait to go back this year :)

15. Where were you born?

Lake District, Cumbria, UK :)

16. Do you have any siblings?

Yep! One brother and two half sisters :)

Stylist Pick Treats

Hello !

Today I got my new items from website 'Stylist Pick'. My boyfriend had bought me Cheryl Cole 'Ri Ri' boots as one of my Christmas presents and forgot to opt for a non-membership when finishing purchasing the boots. Therefore, it took £39.95 from his account each month and saved them as credits (oops!). However, instead of ringing them up and sorting it all out he said I can just spend them as everything on the site is £39.95, and he had two to spend (YAYY!).

So obviously these credits were burning a hole in my pocket and I couldn't wait to spend them. Stylist Pick, if you didn't know already have a different way of working as a retail website. Basically when you enter the site you have to sign up and do a quiz, here the website personalises a 'showroom' for you and selected stylists of the company pick out items for your showroom. These are then put in your showroom each month depending on what styles you have said you liked in the quiz. Another thing, Stylist Pick also only offer shoes, bags and jewellery- no clothes yet!

I quite like this idea, but it is a bit annoying that you have to sign in to browse and I always find not everything in my showroom I like. Then it's more time consuming when you have to click on each of the stylists links to see what other items are available that month. It would be a lot easier if you could just view everything but then I suppose that's the beauty of the site, in a sense you have someone picking your items for you.

Anyway, I didn't really like many items from February so decided to wait out till March. I am so glad I did as I found some beautiful pieces that I found so hard to choose from! I chose to stay away from the jewellery as I have loads I never wear and I'd rather get some shoes and a bag that I know I will make good use of! Everything arrived in a massive box which was all beautifully wrapped up in a massive gift bag :) Here is what I got...

Yellow 'Betty Boo' Platforms

Yes I appreciate these may not be every ones cup of tea - but I absolutely love them. I have a thing for yellow clothing and I have never owned a pair of yellow shoes until now! I think these will be a gorgeous pair of statement shoes for the summer and they will look pretty sweet with a nice holiday tan. I rarely see people wearing yellow platforms so I like how these will be that bit more unique to your average shoes you see out on the town !

I also got...

Andrea Tan Bag (also available in black)
How beauts is this bag?! I love it. When I saw it on the website I knew it was going to be on my hit list! I think it looks really classy and I love the clasp/fastening on the front.

New thaaangs...

Then to top off my day I found this gypsy style top I've had in forever which I thought was pretty cute. I love finding old clothes I can wear again :D

Has anyone else bought items from Stylist Pick?

Ebay Bargains & DIY Bracelet/Ring

Hello :)

Hope everyone is having a fun filled weekend- I'm working both nights so no fun for me, boohoo! I can't wait till Sunday so I can just chill out on the sofa and catch up with all my favourite T.V shows - Glee, New Girl & 24 ! Geek!

I live in Manchester & this weekend I came home to the Lake District to see the fam and work two nights for some extra cash. Whenever I come home I'm always excited to see what post I have got and anything I order I always order to my mums house. I live in a flat and it's such a pain receiving parcels when your not in for the postman when I have to trail to the post office to collect it!

I was excited to see my recent jewellery purchases lying on my bed when I got back and my H&M S/S catalogue (more shopping...yay!). I'm an Ebay addict and the other week I was browsing some rings and more earring cuffs...I love them! I managed to pick up a 'cross double finger' ring, which I know is selling in Topshop for about £7/8 for just 99p with free P&P ! How good is that?! It's not exactly the same, but pretty much...

I also got a new earring cuff for just £2.49, also with free P&P! I thought it was really cute with a little 'peace sign' hanging from the stud (sorry my camera was playing up- it's a bit blurry!)...

So basically I spent £3.48 on jewellery pieces that would probably cost more than triple the price on the high street. I'm telling you, Ebay is the way forward!

As you can see I'm on a bit of a jewellery thing at the moment and I have seen loads of D.I.Y's on Blogger, so I fancied having a go at one myself. I picked up some jewellery chain from a craft stall on the market at home and jewellery clasps to make my own bracelet/ring pieces. I have made a few before but I had extra charms and beads to add on which looked really good and I ended up giving away as presents. I will have to make more! Basically I have just made some really simple ones that literally anyone can do. I know you 'should' use special jewellery pliers to make these types of pieces, but I couldn't be bothered forking out for this as well so I just used tweezers (does the job!). Here is everything I used ... so cheap and easy to do!

Chain: £1.50 p/m
Clasps: £0.75 for a pack of 5
Tweezers

It really doesn't take a long time to make and I think they are really cute. Basically all you are doing is opening and closing parts of the chain to make whatever shapes and lengths you want with the tweasers. Here are two I made...

Has anyone else made these before? I'm off to work soon so I'm getting a nap in before a looong shift ! have a lovely Saturday night!

OOTD!

Hello lovelies :)

Today I got to wear my new leggings that I have wanted for ages! In a previous post I mentioned that I got them from Manchester Arndale Market and I managed to pick them up for just £5...absolute bargain. I was very chuffed with this find. As I have been dying to wear them, I decided to go all out today and make an effort with what I was wearing as I had a whole morning of doing nothing. I usually have loads of things I need to do, so it was nice to have a good couple of hours to beautify myself :). I literally spent the morning curling all my extensions as I wanted to have huge big curly hair to finish off the outfit (to be fair when it comes to hair I am very 'go big or go home' minded anyway).

So here is what I wore...and my massive hair ha...

Top: FM Boutique
Leggings: Manchester Arndale Market
Chelsea boots: Topshop
Hoop Earrings: Muse
Watch: Michael Kors
Bracelet: Tiffany's

As you can see I have tried to get the outfit from every angle! I was trying to get the back of the top in, as the back is really cute. It has buttons and a split up the back. Never mind ! I managed to get a picture of my hair when I did it as it was HUGE, but it seems to have dropped a bit on these pictures. Here is the original hair! (sorry it's a bit blurry!)

I love big hair :)

I wore this out fit teamed with my black Zara leather jacket (one of my staple wardrobe pieces) and MAC lipstick - 'Matt Russian Red' which if you haven't got or don't know of, is a classic deep red colour. I think the best way to wear these leggings is with a plain top either black or coloured depending on how brave you are when it comes to fashion. However, I feel that black looks best with these leggings as I like how I can dress it up with gold jewellery and a statement red lipstick.

I also piled on the jewellery today, I'm not usually one for wearing loads of jewellery as I just stick to my watch, bracelet and ring that I wear every day. I obviously wore the super large ghetto hoops as you can see ! Along with blinging my hands up with some rings (I seem to have loads lying around)

All my rings are from jewellery shop 'Muse' which is part of the company that provides jewellery for the likes of Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Matalan, Miss Selfridge.... etc. So you may have seen similar if not the same stuff in these stores! As I used to work in Muse, we got a free allowance every month for anything in store so as you can imagine I have a tonne of jewellery I haven't even worn! I might start giving it away ha...

Any way I hope everyone has a lovely weekend, roll on tomorrow TGIF !!

Saturday Mini Shopping Haul!

Hello :)

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend! I had so much fun; girly sleepovers with lots of wine and boytalk, shopping, a concert, cinema and lovely meals out! Yay! AND I managed to finally get a new job which was definitely the highlight of the week considering I'm so skint!

Anyway, after staying at my friends lush new apartment in Manchester city centre, I decided to go and have a quick look round the shops before I went home. Here's what I got:

Heart Jumper: Manchester Arndale Market
Leggings: Manchester Arndale Market
Denim shorts: River Island

I can't believe the bargains I managed to get! The jumper was only ten pounds and the leggings were a fiver! Bargain! I've wanted stripey jeans for ages and I still have my heart set on the Motel ones from Ark, but for a 1/5 of the price I will settle for these leggings in the mean time! I then went and spent some of my Christmas vouchers in River Island (how do I still have any left?!) to get myself in the summer mood! I wasn't sure if the colour was a little bit tacky but I talked myself into thinking they will be cute for summer with a nice tan!

Yada or Nada?

Whilst I was clothes shopping I went into this new music store that was said to rival HMV called 'That's Entertainment'. Oh my god, it's amazing! I am a little RnB fiend and I managed to grab myself 6 old school CD's for a fiver and then bought Kanye's Late Registration album for £2. Love it! Even though I can't live without my Ipod, I love listening to CD's and they will be perfect for in the car.

So just a quick post as I have a million things to do today, hope everyone has a lovely day :)

P.s. How nice is Manchester this morning...

SATC & A Little Vintage Shop

Hello everyone!

I have been in uni today 10-7.30. I know. I'm not even sure it's legal to keep you in uni that long! Anyway seeing as it was a gorgeous day I was in a good mood :) I found out some exciting SATC news and had a spontaneous vintage shop (I MUST do this more!).

So...US Television are making a new Sex and the City prequel. How exciting! The new series is said to focus on how our favourite foursome become best friends in New York- Carrie, Samantha, Miranda & Charlotte. The show will be set in the 1980's so I am expecting some amazing outfits. Don't let me down Carrie!

It has been described by The CW Television Network as the story of a young woman who "comes of age in the 1980s, asking her first questions about love, sex, friendship and family while exploring the worlds of high school and Manhattan". Ooohh.

Obviously I was dying to find out who would be playing the part of Carrie and I had also heard rumours that my beloved Blake Lively would be the younger Carrie (she would be PERFECT). It turns out this wasn't to be though :(. The lucky girl that bagged the sought after part of Carrie was 'AnnaSophia Robb'. I had literally never heard of her, but if you have seen the newest version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, she plays Violet Beauregarde (I IMBD'd her). Apparently Blake was too old at 24 (hmmpph). Here she is, she's only 18!...

Not sure if I can picture her as Carrie yet, but we will see! Now for my vintage shop, sorry it's going to be a long post!

Today me and my friend Lois were looking around for somewhere to go for dinner and ended up in a little quirky bar in Manchester called the Deaf Institute. If you are a student/live in Manchester you will probably know of it.

We noticed that there was a vintage sale on downstairs so being the typical girls we are, we obviously went for a little look even though we are both skint (oops). Lucky for us it was super cheap so it would have been rude not to buy something right? There was some stuff I loved and some stuff I thought would never wear that in a million years. I love vintage clothing when people know how to wear it, I HATE vintage clothing when girls think it is acceptable to walk around head to toe like an 80 year old and consider themselves 'cool' and 'quirky'. Nada. Anyway Lois picked up a gorgeous 80's inspired blazer jacket and I got this beautiful skirt which I think is perfect for summer....

White crop top- Topshop
Skirt- Vintage
Coral bandeau- Topshop
Tan wedges- Manchester Boutique
Watch- Michael Kors

As you can see I tried a few different ways I could wear my new piece! I love it, especially it being the lovely coral colour. All the vintage clothes at the sale were from Nancy & Frank Vintage and you can find them online at www.nancyandfrankvintage.com . Check it out! How cute are the bags & pegs my skirt came in ....

Has anyone ever bought vintage clothes from Nancy & Frank online? Hope everyone has a lovely weekend, I'm off to catch some Zzzz's !
